have you read this author's other series? I think it kind of starts the same way (I wonder if it might be a prequel to that series!!)

I've finished. Overall I liked it. I'm going to have to read book 2 to learn more about what's going on.

bleh. it felt like it drug and it was too silly for me to really like it

it added so many odd elements. Yes, I'd skip it.

What a disappointment. We loved her Incarceron series! :o(
