Unexplained sudden burst of book sales...

One of my older and most neglected titles - it's never even been reviewed - suddenly is selling - from multiple outlets. In the past two weeks I've sold dozens and dozens of copies all over the world - India, Japan, UK, and the most in Germany!

I wish I knew what it was so I could take advantage of it :)

Has this ever happened to other authors out there?

I have no explanation for this.

Have you tried googling the book title to see if it's been picked up or reviewed anywhere?

Maybe a popular author released a book with the same title, which made your book pop up in search engines?

Google turns up nothing so it's still a mystery. No copies have been refunded or returned either...

What do you mean by multiple outlets? Other retailers beside Amazon?

Lulu, Apple, Kobo, Smashwords, but only one on Amazon.

I experienced a spike as well on amazon (book is not on any other platform), with sales from GB,US and Brazil. Never had a Brazil sale before yesterday.

Although, nothing much happening today.

Yeah, sometimes my books go up on their Amazon ranking for no apparent reason. It would be nice to know why!

It's a shame it's such a mystery but maybe you've got a fan out there who is really talking you up on a forum. Either way I'm glad you got this push and hope it doesn't let up any time soon :D

I've had my short story freebie on Amazon since May 1st, and had my best day June 10th. Today is actually tracking second best. Not sure what's up. ☺
