I know you asked Trisha, but my limit is 25 and you can only put 5 on hold. What's yours, Jacque? Trinity?
Vicki wrote: "I JUST started and so far it's really good and hooked me on oh. 1!! Hope it continues!!"OOH! Yay! I have been focusing on another book so I haven't got to this one yet. SO excited now!!

Oof, only 5 on hold? I wouldn't do good with that library, LOL.
I am not sure our actual limit but I know you can't have more than 30 books out from one single branch. We have 26 branches but I am not sure what the overall limit is.
I'm trying to focus on my current buddy reads each day and get to the others here & there. LolTrisha, we are going to your bakery today! I hope Kathy is there. I can't wait to meet one of your friends/places frequented. It's the next best thing to meeting you in person. Lol
Btw what town/city in GA do you live?
You two are lucky!! IF I wasn't over an hour drive to San Francisco, I could check out 100 books. I'll never go often enough to get them back if someone had one or more on hold.
Wow, 100 books?! But yeah.. that's understandable. I love my library! Yesterday, I finished the last book I owned that I hadn't read yet. So, I have no personal owned TBR books! Library, here I come!! LOL
Wow! I have so many books I own that I don't think I could ever run out, but that includes all my ebooks, too.
Finished up to I HELD BACK (10%)SPOILERS
I like how Amber's POV tells about all the different girls in juvenile hall & their crimes. Some are pretty sick!
I get the feeling that Amber really was innocent, but innocent or not what kind of mother disowns her child at any age, let alone 14!
Violet either feels displaced guilt or somehow she really is guilty for why Amber is locked up. I hope she makes it to Julliard but I have a bad feeling. I wonder why she said a dozen people wanted her to fall during her recital.
Okay...off to visit a bakery, another resort, Schooner Landing, Devils Punch Bowl, and some lighthouses. Not sure if or when I'll be able read more today. I'm driving.
SPOILERS on VIOLET: STANDING ODid you girls get the sense that Ori and Amber are the same person? The three year time frame is right. Just wanted to make sure I was interpreting it correctly.
Now off to explore. Lol
Sometime in the next few days I will be starting this. I have a couple books I need to finish first.
sorry guys, I didn't make it to the library today before they closed (dang it)so I'll be starting tomorrow instead of today
No worries! I read I think about 40 pages is all. We've been out all day!! Dang this coast is BEAUTIFUL!!! Cape Lookout, Cape Kiwana, Cape Meares Lighthouse, Tillamook Factory!! That was HUGE!!!! And other sightseeing viewpoints!
Jacque, you must've read the part about Ori. Can you read my spoiler/question & respond, please. I want others' insight. :)
Okay I'm thru both part one and part 2And Vicki, as to your spoiler - you caught that before I did!!! But the next few chapters may sway that assumption a little
This book is really
Sorry- updating via phone due to no power Anyway - my above post and now are spoiler free- but I can't wait until you guys reach my point in the book
Because the story had derailed and I'm not sure what it means.....lol
Oh and sorry lolMy library limit is 75
Which I hit today - ugh!! - and they gave me an exception for lol
2 books over currently checked out
Hahaha! 75 is quite a lot. I thought you got 100 though, or was that in Oregon? Or (heaven forbid) am I just mistaken? Maybe that was Kathy. Wonder how she is doing.

Really what? Good? :o)
Vicki wrote: "Jacque, you must've read the part about Ori. Can you read my spoiler/question & respond, please. I want others' insight. :)"OOoh! I didn't pick up on that but that could definitely be! It would make sense. I am definitely reading more of this today.

I've never checked out more than 36 LOL. And I thought that was a lot!

it was lovely :) lol I miss it!
mine is partially high because I have both of my kids' books checked out on mine too
I'm up to page 109. It will be interesting to see how this all comes together. Right now I just want to know how all this is connected.
Finished Part II. I really like it so far, but I'm curious to find out about Ori and Amber. Are they two different people really or are the one in the same? I'll keep reading and see. I had an appointment this morning and I read only maybe 20 pages but I'll be darned if I know what I read. LOL I kept wanting to doze off, so I might have to re-read those pages.

I'm up to page 209. Right now I'm not sure how I feel about this book. I know how Ori and Violet are connected. What I don't understand is why they are spending so much time in this book talking about Amber.
It's possible but I don't think so. I could be wrong though. I'm usually the last one to figure that stuff out.
Sorry, I haven't continued this one at all. I was out for a day with my mom today and it ended with an ambulance trip to the ER.. She gave blood today (she has done it many times but this is the first time with any sort of issue) and then we went out to eat. We then went to a retail store to look for some clothes and then we went to check out. The ladies in front of us were taking forever and then my mom told me that she was feeling very dizzy and the next thing I knew, she had passed out and was on the floor. I was so scared. I immediately started crying and screaming "Mom!" and people came over to help. They moved her over to another display when she woke up (which they shouldn't have done, but we didn't know any better) and then she passed out again. Some said it may have been a seizure so the cops and an ambulance had to come and take her to the ER. Turns out she is okay (for now). She was just discharged and for right now, we can only hope nothing else will happen.
OH my goodness, Jacquelyn! How scary!! I pray all is well and that nothing else happens. So sorry you and your mom went through that.
Thank you, Vicki! She is okay for now but we are just hoping nothing else happens and that there is no further issue with anything..BUT the doctor did say it was NOT a seizure so that is great news!
Oh, we found out the cause! Forgot to say. The doctor said since she was standing in one spot, not moving around, for such a long time, her blood was not flowing through her body. We went out to eat and we were shopping before she passed out and the entire time we were moving around so he said her muscles were contracting, causing her blood to flow throughout. Since she was standing in one spot, that was not occurring.
She also did have a lower amount of potassium (they weren't too worried about it) but they need her to go to the doctors to make sure there are no issues with her liver or anything.
