At the time you read it, do you have any sense of whether it was a new book or an older one?

Holly, that book certainly sounds like what I described and remember! I don't know for sure though, so when I get my hands on a copy I'll update!
Michele wrote: "What made the girl a druid -- did they place a lot of reverence on trees, or speak to them, or use them for magic? Was the girl part of a whole tribe of druids, or was it just her? Can you recall..."
The fact that she was a druid is probably the one clear detail that I remember >.< I think she was part of a tribe of druids. I can't recall if the girl came from a different time than everyone around her, just that she had the ability to time travel somehow. At the time I read it, it seemed like it had been published within the past 10-15 years.
Great clarifying questions, Michele! Thanks for your help :)

The Sword of Culann
The Singing Stone
The Druid's Tune

It looks like her publications are too recent, but thanks for the suggestion!

Finally got a copy of the book. I haven't read it, but it seems to be what I've been looking for! Great sleuthing Holly, and thanks everyone for helping! :)

This was a library book, hardback, checked out from the young adult section. I read it sometime between '95 and '99.
Sorry for the lack of details--this one is really escaping me! I remember I discussed it with my grandmother back in the day, and I would love to revisit it :)
