Well written and different - tells the story of Lorenzo, a 24 yr old Italian violinist in ww2 Italy and present day Julia, a 33 year old American violinist who finds a haunting music piece that seems to be dangerous. A little bit of history a little bit of romance and danger - the book kept my attention for 75% of it - the ending didn't really make sense to me but it certainly did take me by surprise! I would give it 3 stars on goodreads as an okay book.

Definitely! I have the same feeling about the book I read...see my review in Goodreads of Prayers for the Living. It is challenging to be one of the first to review a new book. I have new sympathy for professional book reviewers.
