As Alexander laid there on the bed waiting he began to feel a bit relaxed and started to open the link fully. At first he did it slowly so that he wouldn't immediately be overwhelmed but after mentally seeing that the memories had stopped rushing in he opened the link fully and unknowingly an small smile appeared on his face. He didn't know why but for some reason he felt less alone whenever his and Evangeline's link was fully opened, feeling more like he was there as a whole and less like he was missing a part of him. After a couple of seconds he opened his eyes to find Evangeline in the room as well and he watched as she got on the bed next to him while holding out a picture to him. Curious he took it and looked at the front to find a picture of him and Evangeline as kids chasing each other, an light chuckle escaping him as he looked at the picture one more time before looking back to Evangeline with a faint smile as he handed the picture back to her.

"Even then I was rebellious and you were trying to catch me," Evangeline teased, reaching up to set the photo on the nightstand. She laid down next to Alex, only taking his hand gently and not laying too close. She closed her eyes for a moment before peeking them open to watch him, mostly listening to his heartbeat and his chest rise and fall with breaths. "How do you feel?" she whispered, looking at the bandages on his shoulder.((sorry it's short))
Despite himself Alexander couldn't help but roll his eyes slightly at Evangeline's words though at the same time he chuckled softly again before saying "At least back then you were more willing to be caught then you are now." An slight smile appeared across his face when she laid down next to him and he closed his eyes slightly as he just laid there enjoying the feeling of her laying next to him, giving her a hand a gentle squeeze. After a couple of seconds he opened his eyes at hearing her question and he shrugged his shoulders as he said "It doesn't hurt that much anymore if that's what your wondering." He took his hand from hers and carefully lifted up the bandages from his shoulder, an slight frown appearing on his face despite himself at seeing that the scratches had barely begun to heal and with an soft sigh he put the bandages back on as he said "Though I do miss how fast I use to be able to heal."(its okay)
Evangeline laughed a little at Alex's comment, but became concerned when he pulled away the bandages momentarily. She felt entirely guilty, but of a guilt she couldn't help. "My fault. Sorry," she said quietly, looking away as he covered it back up. This was exactly -though scaled down- the sort of thing she had been trying to avoid by blocking their imprinting. She laid back down and ran a hand through her hair, trying to think of a way she could make it up or take the curse back, but the word curse in her head sparked momentary annoyance. Sensing Alex still hadn't fallen asleep, she spoke into the dark, "Do you still think your bloodline is a curse to be fixed?"
Alexander turned his head to look at her with some puzzlement on his face at her comment as he said "It's not your fault." Once he saw that she was looking away he looked back up at the ceiling and closed his eyes where he remained laying down with his hands placed across his stomach. He attempted to fall asleep but for some reason he couldn't though it could haven been a bit that Evangeline was laying down right next to him which for some reason made him feel a bit nervous. Nevertheless he tried to fall asleep but before he could he heard Evangeline's question which made him remain silent as he pondered whether he could fake that he was sleeping but thought that it would be better not to. He turned a bit onto his side so that he was facing her and he remained silent as he pondered the question in his head before he said "If you would have asked me that when I was still new at changing and stuff like that I would have said yes but now... I'm at peace with what I am. Besides if I hadn't been a werewolf then I don't think I would have met you." At his last sentence an small yet somehow loving smile appeared on his face as he looked at Evangeline.
Evangeline smiled back, although hers was a little more sad than not as she rolled over so they were facing each other, gently brushing a piece of his hair out of his face. "No, it's likely we wouldn't, because the rules of mates don't apply to humans. You wouldn't know what you were missing out on." She winked, clearly giving him a hard time, tucking one hand under her face and the other continuing to play with his hair. She dropped the smile though, suddenly serious. "Do you believe you have full control over your other spirit now?" she asked, inclining the question at his wolf. It was one thing to be scared of the wolf- it was another to be angry and not able to control your shifts or outbursts.
Alexander chuckled softly at Evangeline messing with his hair though he made no movement to stop her as he instead rather enjoyed the feeling. Despite that he was caught off guard a bit by her comment and for a couple of seconds all he could do was stare at her until he snapped out of it in which he rolled his eyes slightly in response as he teasingly said "Yea. I would be missing out on a lot of stuff if I wasn't a werewolf." though at the same time there was a bit of sarcasm in his voice. He fell silent upon hearing her question and he thought it over a bit before saying "Sometimes no but most of the time I do."
Evangeline rolled her eyes at his sarcasm, her lip twitching once to keep from smiling. She stopped playing with his hair a moment, just resting her hand on the back of his head. "You're strong- you'll have full control soon, I believe," she said softly, continuing to gently toy with his hair. "Usually lower ranks and personality mess around with control. That, and the spirit of the wolf that chose you. But you're smart, and kind, and a real leader. It'll give into you soon." She closed her eyes, listening to his heart beat with her supernatural hearing rather than looking at him.
Alexander felt some annoyance when Evangeline moved her hand away but almost immediately calmed down when her hand moved to the back of his head where she continued playing with his hair. He remained quiet as she talked partly because he wanted to hear her and the other half being that he had nothing to respond back to what she said though at the same time he felt his face heat up a bit as he figured that she did compliment him which managed to make him feel a bit happy. As he laid there he seemed to be thinking about something but at the same time he looked to be hesitating until after a couple of seconds he seemed to have gathered his courage as he moved closer to her until he was laying a couple of inches and hesitating again he wrapped his arms gently around her, holding her gently against his own body though made sure to keep his hands away from the parts of her body in which he thought that he might get slapped for touching as well as making sure to keep his arms loose so that she could pull away if she wanted to. He didn't exactly know what made him do this but at the same time he didn't want to pull away as it felt right in a way to be holding her in his arms
Evangeline felt something in Alex's composure change, but that didn't mean she wasn't surprised when he gently held onto her. Her body stiffened but just as fast relaxed, knowing she was safe despite her small urge to push him away -which she didn't want to do anyway. She smiled and kept her eyes shut, leaning her head forward and resting her forehead on his chest. For some reason, which probably had to do with their spirit bond, she felt more relaxed and safe that they were closer, more ready to sleep, but most of her didn't want to fall asleep. She would have rather laid there in the dark and silence, drinking up the moment while she played with his hair and he held onto her.
At feeling Evangeline's body stiffen upon contact Alexander went to let go but after seeing that she didn't appear to mind what he was doing he kept his arms arms wrapped around her though seemingly more gently as if afraid he might hurt her. In truth he was a bit afraid that he might but mostly he didn't want to seem as if he was being possessive of her. As he laid there holding her in his arms he could feel her hear beating against his body which for some reason was rather soothing in a way while at the same time he was beginning to feel nervous though this was more likely because Evangeline was against him.
Evangeline rested with Alex for a while before she noticed that his heart was beating faster. Or anyway, he seemed less at ease. She pulled away a little but not out of his embrace. "Are you okay?" she asked, searching the features of his face. Of course, she was less than nonchalant about being in the closest contact they had been since they'd met-slash-imprinted, but it wasn't because she was uncomfortable.
As Alexander laid there holding Evangeline in his arms he did his best to focus on anything but here, even attempting to distract himself by counting sheep. Apparently that didn't seem to help him clam down as his eyes and thoughts would end up going back to Evangeline, plus it didn't help much when she seemed to notice him getting nervous. He did his best to avoid looking embarrassed that she had noticed his nervousness and simply nodded his head slightly in response to her question before saying "Yea I'm fine." in a surprisingly calm voice though there was a faint hunt of nervousness in his voice as he talked.
Evangeline noticed a hint of red on the apples of his cheeks, and she quirked a brow. "Something you want to talk about?" she urged, a hint of humor in her voice. She gently reached up and brushed a piece of hair out of his face again, doing so with her own hair. "I can sleep in the other room if you're uncomfortable." She took too much joy out of teasing him, she decided, so she straightened her features, scrunching her nose up a little.((sorry it's short))
"No. I'm good." Alexander managed to reply while at the same time he could feel his cheeks heating up a bit. It didn't help much either when he heard the humor in her voice and he was forced himself to look away in an attempt to clam himself down though that didn't help much either. Upon hearing her question he felt a small feeling of panic at the thought of her leaving the room and unknowingly his arms tightened around her a bit enough to keep her next to him though not enough where he would end up hurting her. "It's okay. I'd prefer if you were in here anyways."(It's okay)
Evangeline felt an unexpected long breath leave her lungs at the tightness in his grip holding onto her, and she slowly blinked, dropping the teasing act. She slowly brought her hands up to his face, cupping either side and softly forcing him to look at her. "Talk to me," she demanded in almost a beg, her eyes boring into his. "What are you thinking about?" It borderline annoyed her that he was just there, wallowing in whatever his thoughts were, feeling as if he weren't being honest with her. "I won't bite." Her lips quirked to the side in a lopsided smirk, gently brushing her thumbs over the bit of blush on his skin.
Alexander quickly loosened his arms at her breathing back to how they were before and he mumbled "Sorry about that." He blinked once at the feeling of her cupping his cheeks and though he didn't say it out loud he was taken a bit back the sound of her voice though he managed not to look away as he hesitated. At first his pride wouldn't let him but eventually he admitted "It's just that for some reason I'm a bit nervous about being in the same room and bed with you." Surprisingly he was able to keep a straight face as he talked back at her last remark he couldn't help but end up chuckling softly before saying "Not yet at least." and giving her an faint smile
Evangeline ended up from a serious face to a smirk to sheepish in the few seconds, proud of him for not looking away despite being obviously being embarrassed. When he made the retort back to her about her not biting she rolled her eyes. "Not yet? You have good faith in believing you'll get me to bite, or what?" she was just egging him on, honestly faking the annoyed look on her face which was obvious since she ended up laughing, letting go of his face and rolling onto her back but still in his embrace. "I'll try to contain my aching teeth," she said, her voice morphing into a rougher sound from her laugh.
Upon seeing Evangeline's reactions to what he had said Alexander felt a bit surprised as he wondered how a person could go through that many reactions in a couple of seconds. At seeing her roll her eyes he felt some amusement and hearing her reply he pretended to be insulted as he said "Hey now, I don't don't think that I'm that bad." 5thpugh this didn't last long as he ended I chuckling softly. An small smile appeared across his face at Evangeline's last comment and said "You might but you can't say anything for me." He leaned forward a bit so that he was an inch away from her and he moved to her neck as his lips gently brushed against her neck before lightly tracing the tip of a fang along her skin though not hard enough to pierce her skin or cause her pain. In truth he wasn't real trying to make a move on her as he was just playing and teasing with her though mostly to see her reaction.
Evangeline quirked a brow, knowing he was faking the offended look as he wasn't much of an actor. She was about to retort but froze at his swift motion, her body -or moreover, her neck- stiffening again less out of shock or discomfort but of forcing herself into not hitting or moving away from his touch. Goosebumps spread across her neck and she realized he must have had the goal of getting her to stop speaking, and her grip tightened on the back of his neck. Split-second decision, she pushed him back, moving her own head foreward and catching his lips with hers.
As Alexander ran his fang along Evangelines neck he noted that there was a strange scent to her. He couldn't exactly describe it but it was sweet in a way that a candy shop might smell like when someine first walks into it. The thought amused him to an extent though he figured to keep it to himself for the time being. Continuing with what he was doing he could feel her body stiffen a bit underneath his touch and her hands tighten around the back of his neck which he took as a sign to stop though before he could he was pushed back and a second later he felt Evangeline press her lips against him. The sudden action caught him by surprise though after a couple of seconds he returned the kiss trying his best to be gentle with what he was doing.
Evangeline tried to enjoy the small moment but felt like Alex was uncomfortable or too shy. She pulled back and narrowed her eyes, her hair creating a curtain around their heads with her hand resting on his chest. "What are you so afraid of?" she whispered, knowing he would know she was referring to his unusual -perhaps not in alex but in any other alpha she had met- gentlensss and caution. "You don't need to worry about hurting me."((sorry it's short- and sorry it's taken so long.))
Alexander began enjoying the moment or at least until he felt Evangeline pull back from the kiss. He opened his eyes and looked to find her looking back at him with narrowed eyes and he began feeling a bit worried as if he had done something wrong until he heard her comment. He remained silent for a couple of minutes as he thought on the best way to answer her while his hands moved themselves to around her hips before he said "I guess I'm still a bit cautious about doing something like this since I don't want to make you feel like I'm forcing you to do something like this." then after a few seconds of thinking about it he added "Plus I've never actually.... been with another person before so I'm a bit nervous." On his last comment he couldn't help but feel a bit embarrassed about what he said though surprisingly he managed not to look away though a small smile of embarrassment appeared across his lips.
Evangeline's eyes softened and sparkled, part out of amusement and part out of wondering what she had done to end up with someone so sweet. She brushed her persistent hair out of her face and quirked a half-smile. "I don't feel like you're forcing me- if anything it seems like you're the one who doesn't even want to be kissed," she replied after he finished. She felt bad that he was nervous, and she rolled onto her back but not so far away that they weren't touching. "I..." She paused, gathering her words. "I wish i could say the same, but i can't, and I'm sorry," she said softly, not looking at him.
Alexander felt some relief spark inside of him at hearing Evangeline say that she didn't feel like he was forcing her to do anything though her last comment made him feel a bit more embarrassed then he already was feeling. Before he could say anything she continued talking and he fell silent as he listened to her. For the next couple of seconds he didn't say anything as he chose to remain silent, pondering her words about her last comment though after a couple of seconds he moved so that he was leaning above her a bit with his hand propping him up. He looked down at her as gave her an small smile then said "You don't need to apologize for anything. I'm not angry at you or anything like that although-" and he paused as he leaned down a bit to her neck, gently running his lips along the bare skin of her collarbone that was showing up the side of her neck before coming to an stop next to her ear as he murmured "Just promise me that you'll be mine." On his last comment his voice became a bit seductive and husky although there was a hint of gentleness among his words.
Evangeline waited a while for Alex's reply, eventually opening her eyes and looking over at him when he finally spoke. "It wasn't my-" she whispered but quieted, opting to let him speak. Her heart dropped when he said although and stopped speaking, her hand shaking even a little, worried that he was actually upset. She froze at the brushing of his lips against her skin, the few seconds feeling more like moments and heat rise against her skin following his lips. Her breathing evened but she felt like her heartbeat was quickening and he could probably feel that, which embarrassed her. His words focused her in on him anyway, and she slowly blinked, her face pressed against his. "I already am," she whispered, her voice hoarse.
An slight grin appeared across Alexander's lips at Evangeline's reaction to what he was doing. He could feel her skin begin heating up followed by the sound of her heart beating faster which he had to admit gave him a feeling of satisfaction of being able to get this kind of reaction from her. At hearing her words he pulled back a bit to look at her with partially changed eyes as he said "That's not what I meant." before leaning back down as he gently kissed her though it was only for a couple of seconds before he trailed his lips from hers back down to her collarbone and the side of her neck, passing over several soft spots by accident
Evangeline caught the notice of her reaction, though not able to discern the look in his eyes when he looked at her before returning to more kisses. She felt a strange uneasement, and slowly she pressed her hands on his at her hips, then his chest, and urged him up again, her stomach flickering in what she knew only to be lust despite her resisting. "I'm more yours than anyone else's, before or anytime from now." She paused, swallowing. "But i don't feel right doing this. Not now," she whispered, closing her eyes because she didn't want to see any disappointment or worse- anger on his face. Her breathing caught and she peeked up at him, trying to discern his expression.
As Alexander continued moving his lips along Evangeline's skin he felt her hands press against several parts of his body before he realized that she was pushing against him. He didn't resist much as he leaned back up again and with his eyes completely changed he looked at her while listening to her words. His first reaction was a bit of anger at her denying him as all he wanted to do was continue but he realized it would be selfish of him to do that especially since Evangeline didn't want to. He nodded his head slightly and said "Okay." before moving back down next to her, closing his eyes as he focused on controlling him which took a couple of minutes before he opened his eyes again to show that they had changed back to their regular color
Evangeline's face betrayed he rwish to not show him how instantly terrified she was at the small ripple of anger that came off of Alex alongside the look in his changed gold-and-black eyes. The beg 'please' formed on her lips and she even managed a pluh when he said okay and rolled over. Her heart beat so fast it pained her chest and she sat up, dragging her feet up so her knees and chest rested together, hugging her legs to herself and taking a deep breathe, suddenly unable to make a difference between Nick's pitch-black eyes and Alex's more golden ones, and took several more long breaths before slowly looking back at him, a wary look on her on face matching the scared one. "I'm sorry," she whispered hoarsely, her voice shaking slightly.
Alexander didn't react much at the sound of Evangeline sitting up and instead just closed his eyes again not trusting himself at the moment. He remained still as he listened to Evangeline breathing and her heart beat when the sound of her voice caused him to open his eyes as he looked to her. Immediately a wave of guilt crashed into him at seeing the scared look on her face and he sat up before gently pulling Evangeline onto his lap with his arms wrapped around her as he gently hugged her against him while he softly said "Its not your fault. I shouldn't have tried to make you do something that you didn't want to do."
Evangeline shuddered against him, closing her eyes tightly and resting her head on his soft chest, reminding herself in her head over and over that he wasn't Nick, and would never be anything like the man. She felt her hair rocking over her face, hiding the look she was trying to get rid of and the single hot tear that fell from her eye. "You didn't- i wanted to-" she stopped, gathering her breath so it wasn't so shaky in her words. "I changed my mind- i shouldn't have upset you. I'm sorry," she said again, clenching her hands into fists and holding them against her stomach to keep from shaking.
As Alexander held Evangeline against him he could feel her body shaking which seemingly made him feel even more guilty and angry with himself then he already was though nevertheless he did his best not to show it, to keep his feelings inside of him. He was silent as he listened to her then after she was done he looked at her before moving one of his hands to her face as he gently moved her so that she was looking at him though at the same time the tear on her face became visible. At the sight of the tear his canines lengthened into fangs and he immediately bit his lip in which the tip of the fang pierced his skin which caused some blood to fall from the wound though he ignored it as he brushed the tear from her face with his thumb, his hand shaking slightly from being angry with himself at causing Evangeline to cry
Evangeline forced herself to hold still and not pull away when he held onto her face to look at him, but part of her immediately wished she hadn't. She closed her eyes, only opening them and frowning when her lip stung, and saw that his was bleeding from his fang. "Stop," she begged, her voice more pleading than she would have wanted it to be. "I'm not afraid- i mean, it isn't your fault-" She stopped, gently wiping the blood away with her thumb the same way he had with her tear so that they were both holding onto each other's faces and staring at one another. "I panicked because the anger coming off of you made me see Nick, not you. You're not him- i'm okay," she whispered, gently reaching up and kissing his forehead. She realized part of his anger must be from thinking he had hurt her, and she closed her eyes, cursing Nick again in her mind, as she constantly felt like he ruined even happy things. She gently pulled back and looked at him again, wiping the little bit of blood on her leggings pant and gently held onto his face again. She steadied herself to say something neither of them had said before, and held her breath a moment before whispering, "I love you."((i couldn't remember if either of them had said that previously- if they have, ignore that, but i read through the posts again a few weeks ago and am pretty sure neither had said it yet.))
Alexander did his best to hide the blood on his lip though he apparently didn't do a good job at hiding it as Evangeline noticed it. He couldn't help but flinch slightly at hearing the pleasing in her voice, the sound taking him by surprise a bit. He managed not to pull back when she wiped a thumb over his lip at the blood though it did sting a bit when she touched the fresh wound on his skin but other then that he made no attempt to move away. He remained silent as he listened to her words though strangely he found it a bit relaxing when she kissed his forehead and for the next few seconds he did his best to enjoy the silence with his eyes closed until Evangeline pulled back. He opened his eyes and looked at her as he became curious at the look on her face though before he could say anything her next words took him by surprise, not being able to say anything for a couple of minutes as her words sunk in then an small yet surprisingly happy smile appeared across his lips as he said "I love you too."
Evangeline felt like it was taking forever for Alex to reply, and started to wonder if her words upset him, though he showed no signs or scent of it being so. He didn't even have to say it back- she just wanted a reaction. When he finally spoke and his smile flashed her face lit up, her own lips pulling back in a smile she couldn't help as she pressed her lips to his forehead again then lowered herself and wrapped her arms around him, releasing a breath she hadn't known she was holding. She closed her eyes and rested her forehead on his chest below his chin, noticing how they seemed to fit perfectly together, whether they were holding hands or sitting with each other or holding one another. She took his hand in both of hers and finally relaxed, glad to have resolved.
An deep rumbling sound came from Alexander at the feeling of Evangeline's lips against his forehead though the sound was more of happiness then that of anger. His eyes closed at the feeling though he opened them back up when he felt her move though he saw that she just moved down, causing him to chuckle softly out of amusement and he gave her hands a light squeeze when she took his hands. He gently extracted his hands from her though instead of moving away he just wrapped his arms around Evangeline's waist as he held her against his own body
Evangeline rested happily in Alex's arms, the feeling of him holding onto her more comforting than anything she could remember. She knew he wasn't asleep after a few minutes- specifically because they were still sitting upwards and his breathing and heartbeat hadn't slowed, so she spoke. "What should we do tomorrow?" in a quiet tone, thinking about Nick and Loyka and everyone else in the town- would they just hide out at her parent's place for a while or head out and stand against Nick? She knew she would do anything so long as Alex wished it- unless she told him against it, like previous, but that was an entirely different matter.
For the next few minutes Alexander did very little much of anything except to just sit there holding Evangeline in his arms. He felt more relaxed and a bit more calm then he usually did whenever he had been by himself though that was probably due to the fact that it had just been himself back then with no one else around him. Upon hearing her question he pondered about how to best answer it which took him about a couple of seconds though he didn't exactly answer her question but instead responded with one of his own as in a soft voice he said "Do you think the others are fine with Nick leading them?" The question had been bothering him for a while know and he felt like he needed to ask it or else it would start eating at him.
"He's abusive and psychotic and vicious," Evangeline replied slowly, a little taken aback by Alex's own question. "He's an alpha, but not as strong as you, and eventually he'll either run the pack into the ground or get himself killed first. I wouldn't trust anyone i cared about in his authority." Although that had been her only option over the past year. She combed her fingers through her hair, silent for a moment. "Why?" she asked quietly. "Are you thinking about... leaving?" The idea kind of scared her, but she also knew if the entire pack was following Nick they had little chance of rebelling without major repercussions.
To say that Alexander was a bit more then surprised at hearing her words was an understatement. He looked at her with his eyes widened a little in his surprise though his expression changed as it was replaced in which the corners of his mouth twitching as he attempted to hide the smile that threatened to show up. He hummed softly in enjoyment at the feeling of her fingers combing through his hair and his eyes began closing from barely getting any sleep the last few days until her next words forced him to open them back up. He looked at her face as if studying her expression when an soft chuckle escaped from it which turned into an laugh. Yeah he was definitely feeling the effects of having not slept properly for the last few days otherwise he might have reacted differently. The laugh lasted for a few minutes before he managed to control himself and with some amusement as well as teasingly his voice said "No. Besides I don't think my little wolf would let me even if I tried." He was referring to Evangeline when he said little wolf in an attempt to make her laugh some more.
Evangeline stared at Alex cautiously, a weird expression in her eyes. The laugh that poured from his mouth was almost like he had gone over some sort of edge. Not at all the reply she had been expecting. She sat up, propping herself over him with her hand on the mattress. "You're right, I wouldn't let you leave. I couldn't leave here without helping the others, and there's no way in hell you would leave me." A smile spread her lips, but the serious stayed in her eyes. "Alex... are you, are you okay? I think you need to go to sleep," she said, her voice set to a whisper. She gently stroked his face, tracing a thin scar then his eyebrow. "You need rest."
Alexander barely resisted at all when she moved over him despite the wolf or rather alpha inside of him growling at being underneath another person. As it was he was to tired to do much but move with her so that he was looking at her instead of his back facing her. He barely heard her words as his eyes started to close again and he began drifting off to sleep until the feeling of her hand on his face woke him up a bit though his eyes remained halfway closed as he weakly said "Yea, just let me rest for a few.... months." and mumbling something that sounded like "don't leave" he drifted off to sleep.
Evangeline shifted so she held onto Alex and snuggled in next to him at the same time, one hand still stroking his face as he passed out and the other playing with his hair. She listened to the heavy wind outside, her eyes slowly closing as her breaths began to match his. She rested her head on his arm, bringing the blanket around her and a bit over him so as he wouldn't panic, hopefully, underneath the contained heat between them. She soaked up his warmth, feeling significantly less empty than however she felt whenever she had fallen asleep in Nick's sick grip. She fell into a slumber, feeling safe in the moment, enough that neither of them had to keep watch.
When Alexander woke up again it was to the feeling of Evangeline snuggled into his side. He opened his eyes slowly where he was met with the harsh morning glare that came through the window from the sunlight and he growled lightly in annoyance as his vision became disoriented. After a couple of minutes his eyes became adjusted to the light and looked around him at the room. When his eyes fell on Evangeline's sleeping form next to him an small smile appeared across his lips as he reached over to her, gently brushing a strand from her face as he studied her face. To him she seemed even more beautiful then before especially when she was asleep.
Evangeline felt the space next to her breeze air, then she shivered and pulled her arm off of Alex, folding in on herself. She startled awake as the feeling of Alex's fingers across her face, almost flinching away but steeling then calming herself when she saw Alex. She leaned back, resting her hand on his arm rather than push his touch away. "Good morning," she whispered, her soft voice groggy from sleep. She turned her face, kissing his palm and watching his deep brown eyes. "Did you sleep well?" She didn't dare move from her position- all she wanted to do was stay in bed next to him all day, but figured it wouldn't happen.
Alexander watched her in silence as he secretly wished that Evangeline would remain asleep at least for a little while longer and was almost disappointed when she did wake up. Amusement flickered across his face at her reaction but did try to keep his hand on her until she allowed him to. "Morning to you too sleeping beauty." and he smiled at the feeling of her lips pressing against his palm briefly before answering her. "I slept better than I have in a while." He said then after a few seconds of silence in a teasing voice he added "You know you pout in your sleep. It's a bit cute."
Evangeline feigned the assumed pout, her body already craving his warmth again. "So... does that mean you like me better asleep?" she countered, throwing the obvious bait out there for him to bite. "You did seem a bit disappointed when I opened my eyes, you know." She traced her fingers over the pronounced veins in his arm, her eyes teasing his own with a soft sparkle.
Despite his efforts to hide it Alexander couldn't help but chuckle softly as she pouted or at least tried to. "Hm... maybe just a little bit more." Alexander admitted with an small grin on his face and he pretended to wince slightly as if he had just been hit though it was ruined by the grin. "You noticed huh?" At the feeling of her fingers tracing a vein in his arm he couldn't help but shiver slightly though it was more from pleasure then the cold.
