SOLVED!I feel an idiot, years of searching and I finally post in here, only to find the name of the book the next day! It's called The Most Wanted

The same thing happened to me. I'd searched for a book for about 15 years. After I posted here I found it a few weeks later on Amazon. lol
I've been looking for this book for a very long time. I read this at least ten years ago, most likely 15 so I was around 10 so it's a bit blurry but there are some scenes I remember vividly. It was definitely not a book I should have been allowed to read at that age.
A young girl becomes a penpal for a prison program, and falls in love with the prisoner she's corresponding with. She told him she was 18 when she's actually 13. The guy is in his late teens or mid twenties, is in prison for robbery (I think his family was really poor, or he might have just been a stupid kid).
Eventually the girl gets her mother to sign the required paper so she can marry the prisoner. Conjugal visit ensues and she becomes pregnant, there's a scene of her leaving the prison after the wedding/sex and she 'just knows' she got pregnant. She gets sick when she's pregnant and there's a scene where she's on the bus after leaving the doctor and she stole a tongue dispressor because it smells like her husband, and she sniffs it on the bus (might cry in this scene).
Her friend wants to party with some older boys, so she comes clean to her friend and says she's pregnant, and they cry.
The prisoner-husband ends up breaking out of prison after the baby is born, and the cops know he's going to come to see her so they have her house under watch. He makes it in to see his daughter, and after he puts her down in to her crib the police shoot him.
Please help me find this book, it's been bothering me for years! I feel like the girl lived in Arlginton, Texas or maybe names her daughter Arlington but I can not find anything.
