P A N ( is back ) (millieevemarie) ...

message 2: by [deleted user] (new)

The metal death box had finally stopped leaving Zodiac sitting in the dark to her own thoughts. She couldn't even see her hand in front of her face. She sat against the metal walls and brought her knees to her chest. My name....it's.... It's Zodiac. Yeah that sounds about right. And what the hell am I doing here? kidnapped? Abducted? Being held for ransom? But my memories... she started thinking and realized she couldn't remember anything. She huffed annoyed and sat in the dark wondering when someone would come. Minutes ticked by and although she had only been there for a couple minutes it felt like hours.

P A N ( is back ) (millieevemarie) When the Box came up, it always made a horrible grinding sound that made Sonny's ears hurts. He ran to the Box and pulled it open, his turn to do that, and saw the girl in the Box, looking dazed and confused. Automatically his mind flicked to how hot she was, as he was a bit of a flirt and it was always what he thought of. He held out his hand and helped her up, purposely pulling her towards him slightly, although it was quite discreet. "Sonny," he said with a charming, flirtatious smile.

message 4: by [deleted user] (new)

As the sun shone into the box she squinted and blocked her eyes before they adjusted to the bright light. She gazed up and saw a boy she got up and took his hand and da he pulled her up she gazed up at him and smiled gently. "Zodiac." She replied in her soft whimsical voice that always came out sweet as honey despite how manipulative she could be at times. She noticed how handsome he was and that cute smile caught her a bit off guard. She noticed they were closer to eachother and she shifted finding herself surprisingly comfortable with being this close to him.

P A N ( is back ) (millieevemarie) He nodded. Her name was kind of unique. "Anyway, Zodiac, welcome to the Glade." He said, with yet another of his incredibly charming smiles. "So today you're gonna have to meet everybody and then we assign you to a job depending on what you're best at. Builders, bricknicks, track-hoes, all that stuff. I'm the Keeper of the Runners," he said. He hadn't yet mentioned the maze walls that basically suffocated them in the Glade. He wondered if she would say anything.

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

"The Glade?" Zodiac questioned him with a raised eyebrow, though then there was that smile again. She then listened and got a bit overwhelmed by everything he said and his smile seemed to become an after thought as she took a step away from him. "Huh? What do you mean job? A tracker-hoe and brick-what?Listen buddy I don't know what kind of deluded world you're living in but I don't want any part of it." Zodiac said and she took another step backwards and her foot caught the edge of the open box and she lost her balance. She was already frightened and the fact that Sonny was filling her head with all of this she was getting even more scared, so her first reaction was to get some space which almost led her to falling back into the box.

P A N ( is back ) (millieevemarie) He rolled his eyes and pulled her back so she wouldn't fall in the Box, but not as close to him this time. "Well this 'deluded world' is your new home possibly for the rest of your life. Some of us have been here for seven years. No one knows why we're here, because we can only remember our names. You can either make this difficult for yourself or just do as I say." He said with a raised eyebrows and his arms crossed over his chest. He sighed. He always got the difficult ones.

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

Zodiac gazed at him and didn't say anything at first. She was still frightened beyond her wits, though after a moment she met his gaze directly and she seemed to have held herself a bit stronger also. "Ok Sonny boy, mind showing me around this hellhole?" She asked without even a hint of the fear she truly felt. "Though for future reference I don't listen to anyone." She added as she started to really look around. Then she spotted it, the maze and she stopped and narrowed her eyes. "A maze? What are we lab rats?" She said questionably.

P A N ( is back ) (millieevemarie) He shrugged. "I wouldn't question it - it's one hundred percent possible." he said honestly. He raised an eyebrow at her quick change of attitude towards the fact that for one minute she was freaking out and the next she was acting like she didn't care. But he didn't really care. "Well this is the Box. Each month, supplies are brought up along with a new greenbean - which is you by the way. We take you round to all of the different parts of the Glade, and see which job you're best at. If you're bad at all, you become a Slopper. So, where do you wanna start?"

((what job will she have?))

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

((Runner))

Zodiac simply nodded and was a bit overwhelmed again. "Greenbean? Ya know what nevermind. So what are all the lovely jobs?" She asked him. Zodiac may have seemed a bit odd for going from freaking out to not even care, but that was her safety device. It was her mask that she concealed the real her with. This was Zodie when she was trying to calm herself enough to be thinking rationally.

P A N ( is back ) (millieevemarie) He nodded. "There's builders, bricknicks, map readers and makers, track-hoes, cooks, medjacks, baggers, sloppers and then there's the runners." He said. "I'm the Keeper of the Runners, so we'll start with that one. You're gonna run with me now to the maze wall, and if you keep up you will come with me into the maze. Runners leave in fifteen minutes." He told her informatively. He hoped she would be a Runner, as he found her quite hot and was a bit of a flirt with the beautiful girls. Although he would always remember that safety came first.

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

Zodie nodded, but didn't understand what half of those were. She ran her hand through her hair as she thought and shifted from foot to foot. She then nodded anybody seemed to jump at the idea of running. Without even realizing it, running was just something that Zodiac happened to be fairly good at. "Ok, lead the way." She replied lightly and smirked at him, she waited for him to start so she could follow after him.

P A N ( is back ) (millieevemarie) "Let's go!" He yelled without warning, and sprinted towards the maze walls. He didn't check to see whether she was keeping up or not, as he wanted the strongest and fastest runners possible. He could guess by the quick looks and slight laughs that the others guessed he was 'torturing' the new Greenie. The thing he loved most about the Glade, as much as it was basically hell, was that everyone got along quite well.

((Post first in maze walls?))

End of Roleplay

Selene {нєιя σf ℓυиα} (ohthefeelsofbooks) Adelina jolted awake, but didn't move from where she was. She realized she was lying on her back on a metal floor and moving upwards. She didn't know how long she had been moving upwards, but couldn't believe she had slept through the ear-shattering noise of the platform rising. A thought came to her. Had she been unconscious? She slowly opened her eyes, nervous to see what would be there. She thought she had gone blind. She forced herself to slow her breathing before also realizing that she could see the faint outline of her hand. A bit more relaxed, but still on edge, she surveyed her surroundings- or what she could see of them. She was definitely going up in some sort of metal box. But what would happen when the box-like contraption stopped, she had no idea. She tried to remember what had led to this predicament when her breath hitched. She couldn't remember anything. She roamed her mind, but couldn't find anything about herself or her family or what has happened to her. The whole amnesia thing shocked her mind and she huddled in a corner to think things out.

message 16: by Addie (new)

Addie Emmy walked towards the box, arms crossed as she did so. It was her turn to take the Greenie this time, much to Emmy's disappointment. It was part of her job as a Keeper to show the new girl, or guy occasionally, around the glade. Emmy hadn't been in charge of a greenie in a while, so she hoped she wasn't too rusty. Not like the greenie would even know. Plus, she had been in the glade since all most the beginning. Emmy was sort of glad that she had the greenie today, because a few of the other cooks had gotten into an argument about what to cook for dinner. As Keeper, Emmy should have put a stop to it but, thanks to the greenie, the sound of the box pulled her from her work. Charlie was out in the maze and Emmy probably wouldn't have time to chat with him later because she would have to look after the new kid. Preparing herself for the loads of question to come her way, Emmy pushed through the crowd of gladers. "Excuse me." She said, occasionally muttering a 'sorry' when she bumped into someone. Emmy made it to the box just as it came to a stop. With help from a few other gladers, the doors were pulled open and Emmy peered inside to find a girl huddled in the corner.

Selene {нєιя σf ℓυиα} (ohthefeelsofbooks) The box jolted to a stop, surprising Adelina. Before she had time to wonder what would happen next, the roof opened and sunlight poured in. Accustomed to the dark, Adelina winced and turned her head away. She let her eyes adjust before turning her head to the roof, which appeared to be the ground to those who were standing a around it. A million questions blossomed in her mind, but she suppressed her tongue and opted for the question that plagued her mind since she woke up.
"Where am I?" She shouted up to the crowd, her voice a bit hoarse. She still hadn't moved from her position in the corner although her body had become quite sore.

Maria pushed through the crowd to check to see what was going on and all the commotion. Her eyes caught sight of a young girl curled up in the corner in the box. She should have known it was a new glader. She walked over quickly and called down to the girl below who was already asking questions. "Hey, you okay honey?" She asked her with her thick Spanish accent.

message 26: by DK (new)

DK ((Thank you! :D Dang, hmm...maybe cancel it or should I just edit my post and then Addie can go?))

message 27: by Addie (new)

Addie Emmy leaned over the box, her blonde hair falling over her shoulders. She extended a hand to the greenie, who had already started asking questions. When the familiar spanish voice of one of her fellow cooks hit her, Emmy turned to see Maria. "Oi! Maria, give me a hand with the greenie will you?" She asked with a soft smile, her British accent quite evident. "Give us your hand and we'll pull you up!" Emmy called to the confused girl, who muct be scared out of her mind. Emmy's thoughts flashed back to Charlie when he was sitting in the box, many years ago. She shook her head quickly, pushing the image if her best friend out of her mind.

Selene {нєιя σf ℓυиα} (ohthefeelsofbooks) ((Yep. And then let's just continue with what Addie did and disregard what doesn't match up))

message 38: by DK (last edited Jul 02, 2015 01:33PM) (new)

DK
"Of course," she said with a faint smile as she quickly glanced at Emmy. Her eyes then trailed to the new Greenie. "Honey, don't be afraid. We won't hurt you. We want to help you. Give us your hand so we can help you out of that." What she wanted to say was 'the filth box' but she decided not to say that and held back. Observing the girl, she looked to be a little younger than her and she couldn't help but pity the poor, terrified girl.

Selene {нєιя σf ℓυиα} (ohthefeelsofbooks) Adelina hesitated before uncurling from her position. Her muscles groaned, being in the position for so long, but she pushed herself to her feet. The people who have spoken to her so far seemed nice, but she was still on the edge. And they still hadn't answered her question. After a few seconds of debate, she finally took the hand extended to her, deciding that she didn't want to stay in the box a second longer. She wobbled a bit before steadying herself on the grassy ground. She repeated her question now that she was standing on the same ground as the crowd.
"Where am I?"

message 40: by Addie (new)

Addie Emmy wad glad that the greenie decided to grab her hand. Sometimes the newbie will sit in the box all day and refuse to come out, which was always a pain. Once the greenie was on solid ground, she asked the same question she had earlier. Emmy glanced at Maria, but she jnew she had to do the explaining because she was the Keeper. "First off, I'm Emmy. That's Maria. And you're in this place called The Glade." She paused and let that sink in. "Now... I know you can't remember anything, but do you remember your name?" Emmy was taking it slow. She knew that if she loaded the greenie up with too much info at first, she could freak out.

message 41: by DK (new)

DK
Like Emmy, Maria felt relief that she didn't hesitate. She wouldn't have blamed her though if she stayed in the box all day. In fact, Maria had stayed there all day before finally deciding to come out herself. Maybe it was the rebellious Mexican blood running through her. When Emmy looked over at her, Maria gave her a quick nod. Maria couldn't help but let a soft smile escape her lips. She could understand why Emmy was chosen to be one of the leaders. She was kind, sweet, and gentle with the Greenies. Emmy never ceased to impress her.

Selene {нєιя σf ℓυиα} (ohthefeelsofbooks) Adelina nodded in acknowledgement to their introduction. The Glade? she thought, racking her brain for anything in relation to that name. Finding nothing, and dragging her hand through her hair in frustration, she focused her attention to Emmy's next question. Again, she thought a while before coming up with nothing.

"No, I can't." She said, her voice coming out sharper than she intended. "And can someone tell me why I can'? Or why we're--" She stopped. And after a slight hesitation, she said, in a voice hardly above a whisper, "Adelina. My name is Adelina." She looked at the two girls in front of her.
"Why can I remember my name and nothing else?" This amnesia business was giving her a headache.

message 43: by Addie (new)

Addie Emmy smiled at Maria's nod. It made her feel a bit more relaxed. She wasn't fazzed at the greenie's sharp tone. Emmy just ran a hand through her hair as the girl spoke, waiting for her to quit asking all her questions before she spoke again. Although it was a whisper, Emmy caught the greenie's words. "Well I'm glad you remembered it, Adelina." She said, smiling kindly. "Unfortunately, you will be known as greenie for about a month." At her next question, Emmy chewed on her lip. "None of us really know. Each of us showed up in that thing," She pointed at the box, "With no memory except for our name. Just like you."

message 44: by Addie (new)

Addie ((Elizabeth it's LilDK turn))

Selene {нєιя σf ℓυиα} (ohthefeelsofbooks) ((sorry (-_-#) I deleted it!))

message 46: by DK (new)

DK
Maria chuckled recalling the nickname Greenie. It was strangely amusing that everyone got the same nickname. She had often wondered why people were called that though. Greenie. Such an odd nickname. "Don't worry Adelina. Everyone is called Greenie the first month. It is probably because they don't know your name yet," she said trying to be comforting. She bit her lip as she mentioned having no memory. That too bothered her. It bother probably everyone in the Glade.

Selene {нєιя σf ℓυиα} (ohthefeelsofbooks) Adelina's eyebrows furrowed quizzically at the mention of Greenie, wondering how in the world they came up with that nickname, before moving on to more pressing matters.

"So, no one here remembers anything? And we all came up in that box thing," She shuddered at the thought, "To this place called the Glade and we're just supposed to what? Survive? What's our purpose here?" It was driving her crazy not knowing.

message 48: by Addie (new)

Addie Emmy, once again, waited for her to ask all her questions before she spoke. She wasn't going to try to talk over her. "Woah, slow down there greenie." She said softly to Adelina. "No, nobody remembers anything, except for maybe a few snippets of info you may recieve in a dream." She began, tqlking slowly. "And in this plac," she gestured around. "We're looking for a way out." She pointed towards the large doors of the maze, that were open. "Do you want to explain the maze, Maria?" She asked the ither girl quietly. Emmy wanted to give her a chance to speak as well.

message 49: by DK (new)

DK
Maria nodded slowly at Emmy before looking at Adelina. "The maze is our only way out. Problem is, no one has figured a way out. That is what the runners do. They look for a way out and they go make to the mapmakers to record the route. However, it seems to change constantly inside of the maze which makes it a lot harder on us. The maze is only for the fastest and swiftest of us which is why there are so few. It is dangerous. In order to become a runner, you will have to pass a series of tests," she explained. "I know it is confusing right now but over time you will understand."

Selene {нєιя σf ℓυиα} (ohthefeelsofbooks) Adelina thought over the sudden spew of information. They were in a maze? And there was no other way to get out? She had to wonder who would put a bunch of teenage kids in a big freaking maze. If it changed everyday then how on earth could they find their way out? More and more questions flooded her mind and she tried to sort them by most important. Her thoughts stopped short when a panicked thought fought its way to her tongue.

"Wait... How long have you guys been here?"
