It is said that Emily Brontë may have based Wuthering Heights on the story of her grandfather - when looking on this website (http://www.wuthering-heights.co.uk/in...) and reading 'The Story of Hugh Brunty', the similarities between it and Wuthering Heights are unbelievable. I really think she may have drawn inspiration from this.

Wow. This information is invaluable to the back-story of the book.(Especially the story of Welsh and Hugh Brunty.)
I'm not surprised if she drew from this. It's very interesting.
Cemre, I totally agree with you about Branwell - Hindley essentially drank himself into oblivion, and we witnessed his degradation. Branwell Brontë did the same, and there are more similarities between these two than there are between Branwell and the character of Heathcliff.
