(You forgot to ask a question... So.... I guess I'll ask a question?)

message 5448: by Grace (new)

Grace (fives) | 1090 comments "I had a new name and a new job, but I just couldn't get rid of my old life."
Heh, it's a detective story. The MC, Peter is the detective and is solving a murder, but he stopped being a detective because it was endangering his son's life, but his son falls into a coma not because of gangs shooting up their house, because Peter couldn't say no to the boy. If he wanted a skateboard, sure! Go ahead, his father would say. If he wanted a tattoo or piercings, sure. If he wanted to stay out all night with friends, get drunk, and walk around the city at night? Sure, Peter would say.
... And that's kind of the story...

Same?

message 5449: by [deleted user] (new)

"The world is spiraling downward, forever and ever. There is nothing anyone can do."

message 5450: by Halah (new)

Halah (valhalah) | 925 comments Omg. I've put it on my to-read list *-* Except why did they have to use the word 'sexy'?? That lowered it down a notch.

Have you ever judged a book by its cover only to find out it wasn't great as it looked from the outside? Which one?
