message 1254: by Savio (new)

Savio Dawson (saviodawson) | 32 comments Lol. Isn't my question a question to yesterday's question?

message 1255: by Susan (new)

Susan What was your question?

Kaydee Barker (kaydeebarker) | 55 comments Michael wrote: "I once sat through a screening of "The Notebook"...does that answer your question?"

Isn't it tougher to sit through a screening of "The Notebook" than it is to deal with a deep cut? Who actually likes dramatic mushy romances?

message 1257: by Groovy (new)

Groovy Lee Those who sat through "The Notebook"?

message 1258: by Kaydee (last edited Feb 25, 2016 11:20AM) (new)

Kaydee Barker (kaydeebarker) | 55 comments Or is it half of those who sat through "The Notebook" - the half that like drama-romances versus the half that were made to sit through it with them?

message 1259: by Michael (new)

Michael Gallas | 1226 comments Does toughness count if I forced myself to sit through it on my own?

message 1260: by Mariel (new)

Mariel Grey | 123 comments Why did you force yourself to do something you obviously didn't want to do?

message 1261: by Susan (new)

Susan How could you not like The Notebook? I cried my eyes out......

message 1262: by Mariel (new)

Mariel Grey | 123 comments Do I have to answer if I haven't yet seen it?

message 1263: by Michael (new)

Michael Gallas | 1226 comments Wouldn't you do it just to see how far your could push your mind before it hit its breaking point?

message 1264: by Groovy (new)

Groovy Lee So how long did it take before your mind's point broke?

message 1265: by Mariel (new)

Mariel Grey | 123 comments If I haven't seen it, do I need to know how long it took?

message 1266: by Michael (new)

Michael Gallas | 1226 comments Would you believe I watched the opening minute and then watched the rest with my eyes closed and the sound muted?

message 1267: by Susan (new)

Susan Why did you bother then?

message 1268: by Michael (new)

Michael Gallas | 1226 comments Why did man sail the sea?...Why did man cross the mountains...Why did man swim across the rivers?..Why did man set out to explore space?....

message 1269: by Groovy (new)

Groovy Lee To catch fish?...Because it was in his way?...To get to the other side?...To find another planet with life he could ruin???

message 1271: by Kaydee (new)

Kaydee Barker (kaydeebarker) | 55 comments Can we compare pretend-watching a movie with exploring, forerunning, and making history?

message 1272: by Michael (new)

Michael Gallas | 1226 comments Why not?

message 1273: by Michael (new)

Michael Gallas | 1226 comments Ok serious question then.....What book has inspired you?

message 1274: by Kaydee (new)

Kaydee Barker (kaydeebarker) | 55 comments Oh how could I ever choose just one book? Could you choose one book that inspired you?

message 1275: by Michael (new)

Michael Gallas | 1226 comments If I had to choose I would say "The Hardy Boys" adventure books from all those years ago, compose a very large part of my character now. Just the adventure, friendship and sense of curiousness that it has installed in my psych....yea there are a lot more books out there I have read but psychotic thriller books are for fun not inspiration, dont you think?

message 1276: by Groovy (new)

Groovy Lee And yet, Dean Koontz' "Intensity" inspired me in a way. So sometimes psycho thrillers can inspire, wouldn't you say?

message 1277: by Michael (new)

Michael Gallas | 1226 comments Thats one havent read....yet .....though after reading Cold Fire I found Jim Ironheart to be rather inspiring in the deeds he performs...Could we all be like that?

message 1289: by Michael (new)

Michael Gallas | 1226 comments If I said I was going to answer the question later...and then I actually answered the question later....it would appear that I actually did say what I meant . Is that what you mean?

message 1290: by Groovy (new)
