How does one delete an account?

Don't mean to bring something in off-topic, but the Goodreads staff hasn't responded to me this week. After pouring through my settings, I can't find out how to delete my account. Does anyone know how this is done?

At the top right of your page, next to your profile picture, click the arrow button, then select edit profile.

Select the settings tab, and at the bottom you'll see delete my account.
