We had discussed a group read of The Border for June 2015, so here is the thread. Feel free to chime in.

If your post is of the spoiler variety, please use the spoiler HTML tags: < spoiler >The text< /spoiler > (without the spaces after and before the angle brackets).

Chad Lorion (goodreadscomcmichaellorion) I'm in. Haven't been active in this group for a while, but this is a good place to jump back in--a group read of The Border. I'll get my copy at the local Barnes & Noble this Friday and start it sometime within the next week. So looking forward to reading and discussing this book!

B&N annoyingly doesn't normally stock Subterranean Press books, so you might want to check first and/or have them order one for you....

Chad Lorion (goodreadscomcmichaellorion) Thanks for the heads up. Maybe I'll simply order it through Amazon.

Jennicem | 30 comments Ooooohhh!!! Starts off so exciting!!! I really feel like I'm smack dab in the middle of the battle.

Jennicem | 30 comments About half way done and having tons of fun!! Total Swan Song feel. I'm going to be sad when it's all over.

Marc Allen (cramnella) | 10 comments I'm on chapter 32 and the pacing doesn't lag.

Totally agree. Similar feel to "Swan Song" with some "Stinger" as well.

Jennicem | 30 comments No lag at all. I read a review that said there was too much dialog. Totally untrue. This is quickly becoming on if my favorites.

Jennicem | 30 comments 90% done and I just yelled HOLY SHIT! Sorry kids, but damn that was cool.

Jennicem | 30 comments Finished and that was a really exciting ride all the way through. I hope once everyone else gets to it they have as much fun as I did. Enjoy!!

Marc Allen (cramnella) | 10 comments Loved Kevin Austin. Particularly his strange notion about where to go on some weekend in the future...

Char I'm finally getting started on this! I love McCammon, so I'm very excited!

Jennicem | 30 comments I think you'll really like it. It's up there for me.

message 16: by Char (new) - rated it 4 stars

Char 27% and I'm loving it so far. It does remind me a little bit of Swan Song, but not enough to bother me. At least, not yet.

Jennicem | 30 comments This is the first McCammon my husband was willing to read and he is loving it so far. I think I can get him to read Boy's Life next

Char Yay! :)

Marc Allen (cramnella) | 10 comments My wife introduced me via "Gone South." She got it because she loves South Louisiana and told me she knew I'd LOVE it. Devoured it and read everything he ever wrote in a white heat.

Char Marc, yeah...he's pretty awesome. :)
