Cait S Thanks! Alright, let's see here:

1. What are your 5 favorite books?
The Dog Stars by Peter Heller Paper Towns by John Green Daughter of the Forest (Sevenwaters, #1) by Juliet Marillier The Long Walk by Richard Bachman NOS4A2 by Joe Hill
2. What is your favorite genre?
I go through three month phases. Last winter it was a lot of cozy mysteries. Before that it was horror. Before that it was YA fantasy. Every three months I have to move on to something new. Right now it's up in the air! But probably mystery/thriller.
3. Where do you live?
Right now I live in New York but as I'm married to the military we move around quite a bit.
4. What's your favorite color?
Blue.
5. Name 2 books that you didn't like.
The 13th Hour by Richard Doetsch The Goddess Test (Goddess Test, #1) by Aimee Carter
6. What is/was your profession?
I'm a stay at home mom to two boys, 6 and 3 years old. Before that I was an adoption consultant at my city's humane society.
7. If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
Of all the places we've lived so far, I really loved San Diego. I would probably go back there or move home to Wisconsin.
8. What's your favorite ice cream flavor?
Mint Chocolate Chip!
9. If you could have lunch with an author, who would you choose?
Tyler Knott Gregson (who writes beautiful poetry, if you haven't read his stuff you totally should.)
10. What are your hobbies besides reading?
I don't have time for other hobbies, I'm in too many challenges! :P I enjoy cooking and baking, video games and going to movies.
11. What's your favorite thing about/at TCF?
I love the team challenges! SS is always fun.
12. Who's your top 3 authors?
John Green, Stephen King, and Juliet Marillier.
13. Do you have any pets, and if so what are they and what are their names?
Yes! We have a 5 year old Golden Retriever named Peach. And we are waiting right now for our new puppy to come home in a few weeks! He's a Swiss White Shepherd and we are taking any and all name suggestions because...we got nothing.
14. What's your favorite thing to eat?
Another thing I go through phases on. Right now, bagels and cream cheese. I'll eat something every day until the sight of it makes me sick and then move on to other things.
15. What method of reading do you prefer i.e. Kindle, paperback, audio, etc?
Hardcover books are by FAR my favorite.
16. What are you currently reading?
Day Soldiers (Day Soldiers, #1) by Brandon Hale
17. What book did you just finish?
Murder on a Bad Hair Day (Southern Sisters Mystery, #2) by Anne George
18. Name a book, author, or series that you loved and wouldn't of know about if it weren't for Goodreads.
Joe Hill! For all the Stephen King I read it never occurred to me to read Joe Hill's work until I saw NOS4A2 on Goodreads. He's an incredible writer, I've loved everything I've read by him.
19. If you could be any character from a book who would it be and what book is he/she from?
Good question. Hmm... I mean my favorite character of all time is Gale Hawthorne from the Hunger Games series but I don't know that I'd want to be him. Kid had it rough. I really don't know. Someone who survives in Harry Potter probably.
20. Where's your favorite place to go on vacation to?
Stay-cations are the best vacations. I'm a total homebody.

Bonus:
Tell us 3 things about yourself

1. If I could have any job in the world, I would be a veterinarian.
2. I hate, hate, hate being hot. Cold/windy/rainy weather is my favorite.
3. I just saw Mad Max: Fury Road the other day and it immediately moved into my #1 all time favorite movie slot and I'm literally only telling you this because everyone needs to see it.

Colleen, I'm so excited you're going to read The Dog Stars. Probably my favorite book of all time. The style can be a little jarring at first but stick with it.

I knew it couldn't just be me! My husband says I'm weird. But once I find something I'm in the mood for, nothing else sounds good...until I eat it so often that I am literally repulsed by the idea of eating it again. Then I won't have it for a year or so lol

message 10: by Cait S (new)

Cait S Those look like great books, Barbara! I hope you enjoy them! I've been meaning to get around to Tell The Wolves I'm Home too.
