Jen (reader44ever) | 183 comments Hello,

I recently requested that a book be deleted, as it was not a book. This book has been deleted (thank you!) but I was told it had been "NAB-ed."

Can someone please tell me what NAB stands for?

Thank you! Those words for the NAB acronym occurred to me, but I couldn't figure out how NAB-ing something would equal the deleting of it. I guess it's just code for "Not a Book, so delete it as it doesn't belong in Goodreads"? lol! ;-)

Lobstergirl It doesn't get deleted, it stays in the database (deletion would just mean it would get reimported). But it's either non-findable, so no one can shelve and rate it, or if someone has already shelved and rated it, it gets taken to the NOT A BOOK profile.

I see. Thanks for clarifying. Non-findable works just as well as deletion, in the case of the non-book I requested be deleted. :-)
