Wow. This is a pleasant surprise. Welcome Mr Telep. It's a pleasure to have you join this group and I hope you enjoy it around here. I read your Splinter Cell Blacklist tie-in sequel novel. I commend you for keeping the characterization of the cast intact, along with creating a engrossing narrative that was surprisingly well researched.
This conspiracy/military thriller of yours looks extremely intriguing. I'll be adding it to my "to read list".

Please call me Peter. While I've been writing very seriously for the past twenty years, I haven't spent as much time as I should conversing with readers, mostly because I'm also an English instructor at the University of Central Florida--and I'm committed to spending a lot of time working with my students! However, my new book series is one that I'm so excited about that I've made a commitment to get the word out and solicit both feedback on the first book and suggestions for future books! The Secret Corps is a simple concept: the terrorists are here. Our intelligence and law enforcement agencies have neither the manpower nor the budgets to combat them all. Enter the Secret Corps. It begins with Marines and expands to veterans of all branches of the service. We, the people, must protect our land. This is a book that uplifts veterans while, I hope, offering an engrossing story. The novel has a call to action unlike anything I've seen before. I hope you enjoy it! Take care and looking forward to hanging out here!

I'm not so keen on kindle I think I've still to accept the device as a "sort" of book till now I prefer books because I think a book lives ,you can bent it and even throw it in a corner if you do not like it that's kind of dangerous with a kindle
best regards from Luxembourg/Dan

Thanks for knowing us through sports generally my country is known for a tax paradise as they say even our belgian friends stamped us in the last days as a tax evasion country.Andy is out of the game and Frank is getting older but we still are very proud of them.I will try The Laos File cause as a young guy I was not very fond of Vietnam(student in 1968)

Hi Peter,
I am just reading your new thriller
Being a dog fan and having one sitting next to me(Irish Terrier) I wanted to put the book away( I do not know whether it is normal that one accepts people being murdered but when it comes to dogs...?)I did not put the book away I kept on reading I would have kicked myself if I had done the other way round."Secret Corpse" keeps me more fascinated than "I am Pilgrim" did and that means something. It's like the Tour de France, difference your book does not have any sprinter days it's just up and down with 200 km/hour but I am nearing the end and the women World Cup in Canada is my doping.Hope this will be a series.Greetings to those 4 guys they made me feel much younger Unfortunately Goodreads does not have 6 stars I would already attribute them right now ,so instead I give you the " maillot jaune"
Please do a series
Best regards from Luxembourg
Dan

It's great to hear from you as we gear up for the Tour de France here in the states! I appreciate the comparison to I Am Pilgrim which is a terrific book. I already have plans to write the next novel in the series, The Secret Corps: Wounded Eagle, which fully realizes the concept of a Secret Corps of veterans in the United States. Perhaps in book #3 the idea will become international. The hardest decision I had to make when writing that book concerned the dogs, as you mention, since, I too, am a huge dog lover (two Maltese pups) who are my writing assistants. By the way, those dogs are alive and well in real life, just so you know! Anyway, I truly appreciate your time in reading my work. A review here and one at Amazon would mean the world to me. Drop me a line via email any time: ptelep@ mac.com. Let me know when you finish the book!

I never ever doubted about the dogs, unfortunately idiots like that exist cause mine and 5 others were poisoned several months ago fortunately Irish are stubborn I have had the pleasure of being befriended to some during my college years in Cambridge
I will keep you posted about the now already more than positive outcome after ending the book
Great to hear that it will be a series , in your international writing you are more than welcome in Luxembourg
All the best
Dan
I'm new to Goodreads and to the group. I wanted to share my new novel with you, The Secret Corps. Recently, I received a wonderful endorsement on the novel from Captain Dale Dye, who you probably know from the many war films he's advised on and starred in such as Platoon and Saving Private Ryan:
“It's about time a solid thriller writer looked to the ethos and extraordinary combat capabilities of U.S. Marines and gave the genre a welcome boost. With advice and counsel from real Leathernecks who know the breed intimately, Peter Telep has written a roller-coaster story that genuinely evokes the colorful character of the Corps."

I did not know Captain Dye before he agreed to read my book and write this quote. I literally emailed him blindly. Sometimes a risk pays off! Anyway, I would love for you to check out the novel and communicate with me here! Take care.
