I thought this was a good book, however, the plot seemed a bit unrealistic. No one would ever judge a person's intelligence by how they look, especially the teacher. Other than that, it was really good!



Indeed you would hope that teachers would be above such things, however a good friend on mine is basing her entire teacher research on this very matter. How teachers judge kids and then treat them that way. Of course this is something a little bit more common like class status, however it is proving to be a bigger problem then everyone thought!


If you guys really believe all people are that good hearted and "especially the teacher", I would love to know what fairytale land you live in. This is completely plausible and it DOES happen, it IS happening.

I got mixed up with the book Out of My Mind when I wrote this comment, but on another note, kids I can tell will do that, but adults... Most of the adults in this book were running under what I said. I didn't see a problem with the teacher in this book (including he never showed up) and the principal had the decency and heart to put Auggie in a regular class. *shrugs*
