Brooklyn What did you think about Wonder by R.J. Palacio?

Brooklyn I thought it was a great book!

Crabby Constance I thought it was really good, too. I've read it, like five times.

Brooklyn So have I! IT had such a great plot! Plus it had a good message.

I thought this was a good book, however, the plot seemed a bit unrealistic. No one would ever judge a person's intelligence by how they look, especially the teacher. Other than that, it was really good!

Brooklyn that's true. it does seem unrealistic...

Mom2nine The movie "Mask", with Cher and based on the life story of Rocky Dennis, is about a teenager with a cranium disorder. It also showed people assuming that he was stupid because his head was misshapen. I would like to think that a teacher would be above such things, but in an imperfect world, perhaps not.

Dramapuppy I wasn't a big fan of this book. It had a good message and all, but it felt like they shoved it down my throat a little. Be kind. I get it.

Indeed you would hope that teachers would be above such things, however a good friend on mine is basing her entire teacher research on this very matter. How teachers judge kids and then treat them that way. Of course this is something a little bit more common like class status, however it is proving to be a bigger problem then everyone thought!

Morgan Hockley I really don't think this book would have been the same without the Julian chapter. I loved the message about how some scars on the inside and some are on the outside. Recently my father passed away and my little brother in middle school identified heavily with this book.

Brooklyn I loved the Julian Chapter as well.

Nameer Ashraf The book is great,I enjoyed it.It was really good.

If you guys really believe all people are that good hearted and "especially the teacher", I would love to know what fairytale land you live in. This is completely plausible and it DOES happen, it IS happening.

If you guys..."

I got mixed up with the book Out of My Mind when I wrote this comment, but on another note, kids I can tell will do that, but adults... Most of the adults in this book were running under what I said. I didn't see a problem with the teacher in this book (including he never showed up) and the principal had the decency and heart to put Auggie in a regular class. *shrugs*

Alianna Kent This book was one of my favorite books that I ever read! I really liked the plot. You guys should read the second book about Julian. It's really good!

Brooklyn there are all more sequels about wonder, I haven't read them, but I've heard of them...
