I believe it is a Young Adult book that was in the fantasy genre and had a a king or something like that who was cursed by a witch to never have kids. That caused him to make an entire town of concubines. There was a lot of other story to the book but that is all that I remember. I believe it was also separated into multiple parts in the same book. I probably read this around 2010.
