Why can't i delete books with 0 reviews??

For the second time i'm trying to delete books with 0 reviews and the system won't let me! Can someone tell me why?

Even a book that is shelved 0 times needs to be combined with an other edition before it can be deleted by a librarian

0 Reviews and 0 Shelvings are two different things. If anyone has added the book to their shelves, it counts as a "review" for the purpose of deleting.

Also, deletion of a book should be a pretty rare event. Which books are you trying to delete, and why?

Earlier, I did combine several editions of a book (one of those author issues where there was a legit goodreads profile then some with no periods after initials, with a Ph D at the end, etc.) successfully.

One of the editions from bad author profile had no format, no cover, no isbn, and basically no info except title/author and was only shelved by one member who had reviewed.

So I went to delete it (after combined) so review would merge i to a real edition — it told me a superlibrarian was needed for a book with so many reviews.

The error message is out there. I forget the book (cleaning up a lot of doctors) but I did post to superlibrariandelete thread.error message possibly a bug but that's all I could think to do.
