One of the brilliant things about audio books is that you can listen to them on the go or while doing other things. When and where are your favourite times/places to listen to a book?

Discoverylover | 18 comments I like to listen while I'm on the move, or doing something else (knitting, cleaning, cooking), but I am completely rubbish at listening to them and not doing anything else!

Gina (bookishgina) Typically I listen to them at work, I sit at a desk all day and can listen to an ipod. But lately, thanks to the convenience of OverDrive, I've been listening more when shopping or just going for a walk and depending on the book while cleaning or doing other chores around the house.

I love that audio books allow me to multitask! I can...

1. Play Angry Birds and listen to an audio book
2. Play Fruit Ninja and listen to an audio book
3. Play Star Wars: The Old Republic and listen to an audio book

I am the embodiment of productivity!

Other places I listen to audio books are:

1. In bed
2. In transit (car, train, walking...)
3. In the bath

Skyring | 3 comments Audiobooks for roadtrips!

I've listened to Iain Banks' "Raw Spirit" (a book about Scotch, Scottish history, science fiction, writing, motoring, drunken urban climbing and the Iraq War) three times now.

Twice in Scotland.

"The Graveyard Book" on Route 66.

And basically anything that will fit into the car sound system. When I commuted to work, I'd listen to Patrick O'Brian's Aubrey/Maturin saga. When I was a night cabbie, I'd rummage through the library's collection and play them between passengers.

Long car trips, long audiobooks - perfection.
