Troy Headly: High school history teacher who also works part-time for Cooper. He's 30-years old and adventurous.
Grace Dillon: Iris's best friend and owner of the town flower shop, Pretty Petals. She bought the store from iris's mother. Former champion ice skater who was known as Izzy Banks. She's 28-years old with brown hair.
Jake Galbraith: Skating rink owner.
Winnie Dillon Banks: Grace'so mother, a former skater.
Leon Banks: Grace's father, deceased.
Mikhail Petrov: Grace's former coach.
Iris McKinley Sileski: Grace's best friend who briefly dated Troy and recently married Seth. She's a high school guidance counselor.
Seth Sileski: Deputy sheriff married to Iris. He replaced Mac at the Thunder Point station.
Ross Jenkins: Former driver for the Banks family. Married to Mamie and close to Grace.
Mamie Jenkins: Former housekeeper for the Banks family. Married to Ross and close to Grace.
Hank (Cooper) Cooper: Full name is Henry Davidson Cooper. He's 37-years old and a former Army Helicopter pilot that formerly served with Luke Riordan. He was visiting Virgin River while in between jobs and came to Thunder Point after being notified of Ben's death and discovered he inherited his property. He's redeveloped the bait shop into a beach bar, Ben & Cooper's. He recently found out he has a 10-year old son, Austin, from a previous relationship with Bridget Lawson, who died of cancer. He's now married to Sarah Dupre and they have an infant daughter.
Sarah Dupre Cooper: Former Search and Rescue helicopter pilot whose career in the Coast Guard supported her and her teenaged brother, Landon. She's recently divorced and has short, dark hair and big, chocolate eyes and is married to Cooper and recently gave birth to a baby girl. She left the Coast Guard.
Landon Dupre: Sarah's younger brother and ward who is dating Eve McCain. He was the high school quarterback and attends the University of Oregon.
Jess: Troy's sister, married to Rick and mother of three.
Rick: Troy's brother-in-law, married to Jess.
Sam Headly: Troy's younger brother.
Al Michel: Mechanic who used to work for Eric in Eugene. Now the foster parent to Justin, Kevin and Danny. He's dating Ray Anne.
Ray Anne Dysart: Town real estate agent. She's got teased blond hair and wears her clothes on the tight, sexier side (friends call her a Dolly Parton knockoff). She's dating Al and is best friends with Carrie and Lou.
Justin Russell: Al's foster son. He's 19-years old.
Danny Russell: Al's foster son. He's 15-years old.
Kevin Russell: Al's foster son. He's 13-years old.
Dick (Dickie): Rayleen's cousin who she's very close to.
Sue: Dickie's wife.
Ginger: Dickie and Sue's daughter who recently lost her baby to crib death.
Carrie James: Gina's mother who owns Carrie's Deli and Catering, which is across the street from the diner. She's plump and grandmotherly with short, steel-gray hair. QShe, Ray Anne and Lou are best friends.
Lou McCain Metcalf: Mac's 62-year old aunt who raised him from the age of ten and helped with his kids when his wife left. She's a school teacher, small and trim with shoulder-length auburn hair. She recently married Joe Metcalf. She, Carrie and Ray Anne are best friends.
Rawley Goode: Vietnam veteran and former Green Beret who worked for Ben and now works for Cooper. He's "seeing" Carrie.
Gina McCain: Formerly Gina James. Works at the diner and is Ashley's mother. She's wanted a relationship with Mac for quite some time and recently got involved with him romantically and is now married to him. She is 33-years old with blonde hair and blue eyes.
Denny Cutler: Troy's friend. He's a partner at Jilly Farms in Virgin River and married to Becca. Works part time at Jack's Bar and Grill.
Becca Cutler: Teacher and director at the elementary school in Virgin River, she's married to Denny and pregnant.
Peyton Lacoumette: Physician assistant from Portland who now works for and is involved with Scott. She's 35-years old and has dark straight hair and black eyes.
Scott Grant: Town doctor who recently moved to Thunder Point, widower with two young children, Will and Jenny. He runs the clinic with Peyton, his fiancée.
Bruno Feldman: Man who abducted Izzy when she was 14-years old.
Hal Nordstrom: Skating coach.
Fiona Temple: Former skater who used to bully Izzy.
Barry Banks: Grace's half-brother.

1. I am convinced that if the FBI raided Thunderpoint, they would find half of the missing fugitives on their list. Where you surprised to find out Grace was another "hider"? I don't understand why hiders go to small little towns with nosy people?

4. Are you shocked at how sheltered her life was considering she has travelled all over the world? Especially at 28 years old?

2. My girl RayAnne's in the house! She is still well with her mechanic. What do you think about her 30 year old niece coming to stay with her?
**I will just add that my grandma told me (view spoiler)[ to never let another woman move in with me. She said it doesn't make sense to put a steak in front of dog. There is only so many times he will walk by before taking a bite.

DQ Part 1:

Newcomers to small towns will stick out because they're new but won't necessarily be recognized for their fame. I was taken off guard to learn about Grace's true background. Her friends don't have a clue.


2. Do you think Troy's interest in Grace genuine?
Early on, I thought he considered her a rebound. I think he was genuinely fond of her but it didn't run deep.


3. Why do you think Grace told Troy her secret so early on?
I think she needed an ally and as they became more intimate, it was going to get tougher to hide. I also think she trusted him with the secret as he had nothing to gain from knowing. It wasn't going to change anything for them.


4. Are you shocked at how sheltered her life was considering she has travelled all over the world? Especially at 28 years old?
Not shocked at all as this seems to be the pattern with people who become famous as children. They're cocooned and frequently not prepared for the real world. Plus, she didn't get great parenting.


5. Why do you think Grace is ready to take the "next step" so suddenly?
She's inexperienced and lonely.

Thanks, Ezi, but not really. The financial stress that is a constant has just doubled with some news my husband got today. We're in scramble mode, since the month he thought he had to find a new job has just been reduced to he needs a new job now. He's not been fired, but his hours are being reduced, and that is not a good thing.

I have a problem (view spoiler)[ with Troy saying this is a small/petty dispute between mom and daughter. This issue of control and forcing Izzy to live the life Winnie wanted was a big problem to me.

Winnie doesn't listen and pushed Izzy and was not loving from the memories Grace has shared (hide spoiler)]

Grace and this baby thing isn't sitting well with me. She should tell Troy, and this series is making everyone pregnant. Grace and Troy still don't interact much outside of bed and this "mother-daughter" estrangement (hide spoiler)]

I think I'm on chapter 6 of this one.I'm really busy today , I don't think I can get any reading time squeezed in.
