DQ Part 1:

1. I am convinced that if the FBI raided Thunderpoint, they would find half of the missing fugitives on their list. Where you surprised to find out Grace was another "hider"? I don't understand why hiders go to small little towns with nosy people?
No I think there was a hint or 2 about her in the last books. I didn't what but I knew she was hiding .
Yes it doesn't make sense . they should go to big cities where nobody knows their next door neighbours!


2. Do you think Troy's interest in Grace genuine?
Hmm I had my doubts about him. I really wanted him to come up with a grand gesture


3. Why do you think Grace told Troy her secret so early on?
I thought it was late , she should have told him way earlier ( you mean the skate thing right ?)

4. Are you shocked at how sheltered her life was considering she has travelled all over the world? Especially at 28 years old?
Yep I can't imagine a 28 year old virgin! of course I know a 30 year old virgin but her circumstances are different and something else entirely, it's her choice

5. Why do you think Grace is ready to take the "next step" so suddenly?
She's got a hot guy and she's 28 year old , it's about time ;)

2. My girl RayAnne's in the house! She is still well with her mechanic. What do you think about her 30 year old niece coming to stay with her?
**I will just add that my grandma told me [ to never let another woman move in with me. She said it doesn't make sense to put a steak in front of dog. There is only so many times he will walk by before taking a bite.
I told her my husband wasn't a dog, and she said yes, that's true, but why tempt him? (hide spoiler)] Do any of you have old school grandma's.

3. Grace is handling her arrangement with Troy quite well, even referring to it as a booty call. Who do you think will break first and want more?

I wanted some kind of grand gesture from Troy. He screwed up but he didn't redeem himself enough.

Geesh! I know! At least two of them are 'planned' with women in committed relationships. However, I just knew we'd have another unplanned pregnancy again. Well, they were being careful, so I'm glad this was more an illustration of methods not being fail-safe.

I don't understand why hiders go to small little towns with nosy people? In most cases I think hiding out in a small town is dumb. In Grace's case, I can understand it, but still think she was lucky, as figure skating is very popular.

2. Do you think Troy's interest in Grace genuine? I think he's really immature for someone so responsible and observant. But, yes, I do think he's genuine, he just doesn't think it means anything more than casual.

3. Why do you think Grace told Troy her secret so early on? But she didn't. She waited until they were dating for months. And then it took a real scare to get her to open up.

4. Are you shocked at how sheltered her life was considering she has traveled all over the world? Especially at 28 years old? No. All she did was work out and study. While she traveled, I don't think she saw many of the sights.

5. Why do you think Grace is ready to take the "next step" so suddenly? Well, they have been dating for several months. But, she did decide kind of out of the blue. I guess she realized she was ready.

1. What's up with Rawley and Carrie? Friends huh? Are you thinking what I'm thinking? They're so funny! I can't decide if they are or aren't. But I don't know if it matters. He just invited himself into her life and he stuck.

I don't think it's weird, and Al isn't living with her, so her niece won't be spending a lot of time with him without RayAnne. My grandmother's didn't give that kind of advice. It would have been fun if they had ;-)

3. Grace is handling her arrangement with Troy quite well, even referring to it as a booty call. Who do you think will break first and want more? Well, I think Grace knows she likes him too much, but is willing to play the not-serious game. He seems to be getting serious, but isn't willing to let on. It could go either way. I suspect Troy will show it in action first though, rather using words.

I wasn't surprised there was another hider but I was surprised it was Grace!
Maybe hiders go to small towns because the hiders might feel small towns are closed off from the world and they'll be less likely to be discovered.

2. Do you think Troy's interest in Grace genuine?

I think Troy started out just wanting companionship with a few extra "benefits" thrown in but I don't think he was expecting his feelings to grow and boy are they! I think he's falling in love too!

3. Why do you think Grace told Troy her secret so early on?

She's fallen in love with him and wants him to know her.

4. Are you shocked at how sheltered her life was considering she has travelled all over the world? Especially at 28 years old?

No, she obviously had a controlling stage mother that kept her sheltered from anything that could distract her from skating, boys/men are a huge distraction! She knew no other way to live even after she left her mother's control.

5. Why do you think Grace is ready to take the "next step" so suddenly?

Because her feelings are growing for Troy and when she told him of her inexperience he wasn't put off by it. There's a strong attraction between them so why not?

I'm thinking they're more than friends, maybe lovers, but he has his own room at her place, so may be just cuddlers!
