Wouldn't it be nice if we could just teleport everywhere then we wouldn't need cars :-)

Oh and speaking of cars my son has one more safety check on his car and then will have his own car on the road -- time flies

We'll be thinking of you!

Beth, I'm sorry to hear about your flooding. It sounds like a real mess. I hope you like your new car and that life gets back to something like normal soon.

ROFL! If he is anything like my six-year old grandson, there is no stopping him long enough to get him to sit down and listen to someone read to him until he is almost dead from exhaustion or sick.

Cherie, my nephew likes to be read to at bedtime. Anything to delay bedtime is a plus in his view. But he is a high energy little guy. He's kind of like a puppy still - in constant motion or else crashed out!

Jmom, sorry to hear about your car, that sucks! Considering it couldn't even be pushed, it sounds really bad. You should contact your insurance agent or even the local DOT to see if its possible the DOT would be responsible for repairs since it was a pothole that caused the problem.
My husband hit a pothole once and broke... something, I can't remember exactly what right now! Our insurance paid for the repairs but I really thought it should've been paid for by whoever was responsible for the upkeep of the road.
@Beth, I'm so sorry to hear about the flooding!

Hi Beth glad to see you are ok

Hi TJ

- it is exciting we are so close now
unfortunately I wont be able to watch the movies I don't own any of them

I was the opposite. I watch the show Bones and got halfway through the first book and was having a hard time separating the show and the books. I have that book on a hold shelf and will definitely pick it up again someday

I think I have decided to read No Hope for Gomez! which fits the humor category.
I will listen to The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time which is a winner of the Alex Award.

I kept thinking the Tempe in the book was older then Emily Deschanel and kept waiting for Seeley Booth to show up whom I love especially since David Boreanaz plays him. Is he in the books?

I do picture Booth when I'm reading though :) love David Boreanaz :-)

Another Man's Moccasins - 2009 Spur Award (Western)
Murder Strikes a Pose - 2014 Agatha Award Nominee (mystery)
The Scrapbook of Frankie Pratt - 2012 ALA Alex Award
Toby's Room - 2013 Walter Scott Prize Nominee

Hope I'm correct in thinking we have a lot of leeway this toppler in picking our books independently of each other? Still not sure what my schedule will be like next week. But here are at least a handful of books I know I have on hand to work with.
Gilead - Pulitzer prize for fiction 2005
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - humorour book (could read aloud with my nephew)
Sous Chef: 24 Hours on the Line - food book

Would love to hear your thoughts on Ancillary Justice. Check out the buddy read thread for what we thought. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.
