SOLVED. Heroine's husband and father are doing an air show and something happens to the plane [s]

So. I read this book in the last three years. It is set in a more current setting.

Heroine is married to the love of her life!!! She is very close to her parents. Her husband is a pilot. When he retires from the Air Force (I think it was the AF) he goes to training school to become a pilot teacher. The heroine's father is also a pilot and has a very prestigious position in the Air Force (I believe that's how the heroine met her husband, through the father). The husband is a great man!! Everyone loves him. He has a best friend, also a pilot (and I want to say his name starts with a T). Something bad happens (I don't want to spoil it for anyone, and if you know what that bad thing is, and want to ask, please put it in < spoiler > < / spoiler > take out the spaces.

After the bad thing happens (view spoiler)[ the best friend and the wife become close, and both deal with guilt (hide spoiler)]

It was such a gut-wrenching story!!! I've searched my reviews, and amazon but nothing really stood out.

Any help would be appreciated :)
