Chrissie I really enjoyed the first 2 but then reading the 3rd one it just got stupidly annoying that I stopped reading!!
I hear its being turned into a movie!
Sorry but I think there are way better books out there that could be turned into great blockbusters #justsayin

Rachael It's a shame is that Chrissie, I really enjoyed the third.. Suppose it's either for you or it isn't. I think a film would be amazing :)

Keep going Elizabeth, it's so worth it!

Elizabeth Thompson Ok Rachael, I will, thanks.
I think it would be a great movie :)
I would be extremely sad if they changed anything though :(

My fav seance are when the main character is told to stay away from the people with "speshile brackets" then that girl ends up having one.
And I LOVE the hair cut Sean, I probably like it cuz they get to know each other.

If they got ride of thoughts two seans, I'd probably freak :p

Danielle I didnt like it because it was too slow and boring, it was ok, but i wouldnt continue the series or make it my favourite. There was absolutely no comedy relief other then her friend and she didnt show up as much as i would've like.

Vickey It gets compared to Twilight because Luce has a very bad case of the Bellas.

Shani hush hush wannabe, i hate this

LOL...

I love both Fallen and Hush Hush, so I know well enough that they focus in different things.

Fallen tells the readers about fallen angels and also the 'politic' in Heaven.

Hush Hush tells more about the fight between the fallen angels and the Nephilim.

Elena I also don't understand why people don't like this book, or hate it, or don't like/hate the series. Me, personally, I ♥ the book FALLEN, and the series!!!! I don't understand people at times....

In my opinion, Luce is worse than Bella. Bella was a Mary-Sue, Lucs is definition of Mary-Sue

You have a point!

Sarah When I first read Fallen, I was about 17, the same time I read Twilight. At the time I thought that Fallen was a bit like Twilight; forbidden love, fantasy creatures etc.
I've recently just re-read it (I'm now 22) I think it's a little cheesey in some parts and prefer Torment and Passion to the first book.
I've read somewhere it was intended for Young Adults so maybe that's why it's lost it's charm, but in general I liked the book.

Keiley I can't speak for a lot of other people, but I can explain my utter loathing of this book. And let's get one thing straight: I don't hate it because it's light Twilight (Though I do hate Twilight almost as much as I hate this). I hate this book for a lot of reasons, and before I even start explaining them: This isn't a personal attack on people who like the book, this is just me explaining why I don't.

For starters: Nothing happens! You can deny it all you want, but there isn't a goddamn plot to this book! It's long and boring and tedious. And the entire thing is spent reading about Luce stalking Daniel (And that's exactly what it is: stalking!) It's as though the author remembered at the very last minute that 'oh yeah, this needs to actually have a plot!' and threw something haphazard in!

Luce is boring. There's nothing about her that's interesting. She's supposed to be quirky and different, but she isn't. She's plain out boring. And Daniel...good god, there is everything wrong with Daniel. He's the very epitome of what it means to be sexist and misogynistic. I really do mean that! He's terrible! And he's technically a serial killer! Pull an Angel, man, get the hell out of her life and let her, you know, LIVE.

Also: Rape culture. Rape culture everywhere.

And for a reform school, there isn't an awful lot of reform going on. In fact, there's none. The setting doesn't work at all. I don't think Lauren Kate did any research on ANYTHING before she put her fingers to the keys.

For these and many other reasons, I really don't like Fallen. In fact it is in my top five most hated books of all time. But hey, everyone likes different thinks, right?

Sthep I don't hated it. I don't liked it, but I don't hated it. There is something about the characters and the releshionship between them that wasn't good for me. The only person who I liked died. So, no. Didn't liked it. But i do not hate it:)

Yes, it is intended for young adults. If you look under the genre sections on its page the first genre listed is Young Adult.

But it being a young adult book, and intended for teenagers/young adults doesn't necessarily make it bad. It's not the audience that ruined it, its the story and characters. YA books can be very good, and adult books can be bad, they're not limited based on the genre.

I agree with Keiley on the rape culture thing. I also have to say that throughout the whole thing Luce was obsessed with doing nothing but kissing Daniel. It was like she wasn't even remotely close to being her own person, all she wanted to do was kiss him. Over and over and over.

Katlin Mammen People don't like it because it's typical that teenagers are all depressed and stuff, and yeah. I personally think it's amazing. My favorite was Tourment though.

so true ;)

Inês Nikki wrote: "So while reading the reviews i have noticed that it gets rated poorly and i don't understand why. People keep saying it's crap because its too much like Twilight but i can't really see the resembla..."

I kinda see why they say that, but i kinda liked the book (i liked more the secound one but the first was ok to me :)

they say that maybe because of thing that is between with daniel and Lucy..

but i don't think that. i really liked to read this book :)

Amber Ferreday The book is ok my only problem with it was that it seemed to take forever to read, on average it takes me 5 days to read a book... it took me two weeks to finish this. it appeared to be quite hard going not as fast paced as other books which i like reading. I don't have any problems with the plot or characters really just taking them at face value im not much one for literary critiquing had enough of that doing my English literature A level.
