I read a book last year, and I can't remember what it is called or who the author is.

It is on a planet with two moons, but other than that it reads alot like a historical romance novel with different customs. It starts out with the hero when he was a teenager, he is at war, and his father and brothers are with him. His dad watches him and thinks how good he is. I am pretty sure the hero gets a deep cut and the father respects him because the hero treats it like it is a scratch. I think in the beginning the hero is about 15 years old. It is about a warrior who takes a very pretty woman, and leaves her sister and mother. The woman is from a different part of the land and she is small with blue eyes and blond hair. The warriors people are tall with brown hair. The woman is from a place where women are treated more like slaves. The only thing they can do to that the women enjoy is dance. the women dance in front of men. they are trained to please men. The women has a brother who tried to protect his sisters and mother, but their dad is mean. The woman is expected to kneel at the feet of their males when they eat. Anyways the womans brother falls in love with the warriors sister, and the warriors brother likes the womans sister.

It only mentions the fact that it has two moons once,I think, in the whole book. I have no idea what genre to look for it in.

Serendi Could this be one of John Norman's Gor novels?

My thought too Serendi. That whole "kneeling at the man's feet" thing sure sounds like it--as well as the war, and kidnapping the female. Even the 2 moons thing sounds vaguely like them, doesn't it?

Tribesmen of Gor (Gor, #10) by John Norman has the girl dancing there are a LOT of these books. They are now offered as e-books, so you could check them out that way, if you don't have access to the books.
