I thought they were all good but the first one was probably the best of the three and the Hobbit followed the book as well.

I really enjoyed the first Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movie because it stayed quite true to the plot of the book and I thought the casting was well done. The second movie however, I didn't like. Being a huge fan of that series, I wish they didn't cram all three books into one movie. A lot of the crucial moments were left out or totally switched to a different timeline. I thought a lot of it was jumbled and switched around too much to be able to really do the book series the justice it deserved.
Worst has to One for the Money - based on the first Stephanie Plum book by Janet Evanovich. I went to a book signing and she said she had no control as she sold the rights years ago, it shows when the author isn't involved. Look at the Harry Potter, Twilight, Game of Thrones, Princess Bride etc all totally brilliant and heavily involving the Author. Best one though I think is Anna Karenina, I keep saying it but after watching it I actually thought Ah ha, that's what I couldn't see but wanted to see when I read the book.
yes I realise my argument is totally nul and void as I'm pretty sure Tolstoy wasn't involved in the film. lol.

I like when the movie is a little differente from the book, but not always. I hate the way True Blood is so differente from the books, but I like How to train your Dragon movie even when the the only thing in common between the movie and the book are the names of the characters

I liked the warm bodies movie as a movie, but as a book adaption i hated it. They missed out parts which i saw as vital (R marriage) and they messed up scenes ( M telling nora "your the most beautiful girl i have ever laied my eyes on" the girl in the movie wasnt even nora plus the quote was wrong) Eragon was also a terrible book to movie adaption, they ruined the whole book as a movie. In personal opinion though i really enjoyed the movie if i didnt compare it to the book (i saw the movie before reading the book and adored it)
One book to movie adaption i loved was memiors of a geisha, i though it was very well done although some bit were missing the acting and story line was amazing and quite accurate in my opinion.

I enjoyed Interview with a Vampire, but the movie was so different from the book. I enjoyed both of them, but as different entities. In fact, it was almost like the movie was a very simple summary of the book, which I suppose has to happen as there are so many things that happen in books that I don't know how ANY of the movies ever stay true to the story.
I had read beautiful creatures and fell in love....then came the movie and it was one of the top five books Hollywood messed up
Best - Harry Potter, Interview with the Vampire (With the exception of the casting of Armand. I love the actor, but he was NOT right for the role.) Worst - Eragon, Inheart, The Hunger Games.
I remember being soooooo excited when I heard about Eragon coming to the big screen. I waited patiently for it to be released, then drove an hour to see it. I was fuming when I left. It wasn't just the adaptation. It was a truly bad movie. Terrible.
I remember when Brom came on screen and they pretty much shined a spotlight on him and said "Here I am, I'm BROM!!!" I almost walked out.

Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter was a horrible movie but great book. the movies for Nicholas Sparks The Notebook and A walk to Remember in my opinion were better than the books.
The Hunger Games movie was a good adaptation of the book. I have nothing against Josh Hutcherson but I think he wasn't suited for Peeta. And I didn't like that the ending of the first book was different from the movie.
worst... too many hmmm....Eragonbest....too few.....the very first harry potter (had me praying Hagrid would show up on my B-Day)
Best - Dr. ZhivagoTo Kill a Mockingbird
Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility, and Pride and Prejudice.
Worst - The Great Gatsby
Anna Karenina
Agree on One for the Money - This could have been one of the funniest movies. But wrong actors, and they did not connect with the real humor of her first books. Just a total miss.
