Justin Heard | 8 comments Hi guys!
Brand new to this group. I liked Sanderson's books, but Stormlight Archive is definitely the best thing he's ever written and, quite frankly, I don't know why his other books don't have all of these amazing plot twists.
Anyway, to my question. This book has forced me to be drawn into the Cosmere. Unfortunately, I can't find any websites that explain it in a way that I can understand. So, for all the people like me, is someone willing to tackle this challenge? Or give me a link to a simple explanation. I want to ask specific questions, but i don't even know where to begin.
What I know is this. There was some huge event that scattered 16 shards across the worlds. Or something like that. And there's this guy named Odium who I have no clue what he's doing. And Hoid goes from world to world collecting the powers so he can fight Odium. Maybe?
Also, how does White Sand tie into the Cosmere? I hardly ever hear anyone talking about it, so I can't decide if I need to read it before I read the 3rd Stormlight book when it comes out. I'm already going to have to read War Breaker.

Joel Be wary of coppermind.net. It has spoilers for all of the books, but I have found it to be very helpful with a lot of questions concerning the Cosmere.

Also, White Sand is going to be published as a three issue graphic novel starting this year. I am waiting to read it till then.

And Brandon is going to write another series that will tie all of the Cosmere worlds together, even more so than what Stormlight is doing. He also intends to write Hoid's story eventually. But we more than likely won't see these till he is finished with both arcs of Stormlight.

I believe I have all my facts straight.

I believe that series will be Hoid's story and it's supposed to be called Dragonsteel.

This is where you should begin: http://www.17thshard.com/forum/topic/...

Then you can dive into coppermind.net
