O.o Yeah I guess you are the only one with a positive GMT. I was thinking Tati was close to you but even she is -2.

message 103: by Tati (new)

Tati I'm the closest, but I'm not close. Closest I've ever been was Germany

message 104: by Danielle ♥ (new)

Danielle ♥ (readwithmedani) | 2410 comments Well I'm in the US so I'm pretty much on your side of the globe! :)

message 105: by Danielle ♥ (new)

Danielle ♥ (readwithmedani) | 2410 comments I'm only a few hours south of Ontario. I can drive to Windsor in about half an hour. In fact, I work a mile away from the Canadian/US border, in Detroit, Michigan.

I don't think I've ever been to Michigan. I've been to New York and Florida. But I don't think Michigan. O.o

My Grandparents were from Germany. I'm hoping to go there someday. How was it?

message 108: by Tati (new)

Tati I've only ever been to Berlin, and it was winter. So it was cold and grey LOL. All I can say is, Berlin in winter is not, in my opinion, a pretty city.

message 109: by Edit~A (new)

Edit~A (edit-a) | 4259 comments US and Brazil are on my top list to visit, both are my one of favorite countries :)

I don't know about Berlin, but my friend studies in Germany, and in general she's in love with that country and people :)

message 110: by Tati (new)

Tati My mom lived in Germany for a few years, near Munich, and she says that Berlin is an ugly city, but there are several beautiful cities in Germany, like Munich, Hamburg...

Any particular place in Brazil you'd like to visit?

message 111: by Edit~A (new)

Edit~A (edit-a) | 4259 comments *one of my favorite countries

It's impossible to edit on phone :)

message 112: by Edit~A (new)

Edit~A (edit-a) | 4259 comments Oh yeah she lives in Hamburg maybe that's why she loves it :D

Haha don't laugh at me but I fell in love with Brazil from telenovelas, and yeah so I really want to see Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo :)

message 113: by Tati (new)

Tati I live close to São Paulo (in fact, I'm there right now, for work). Lots and lots to do and to see. Rio as well, but I still prefer São Paulo to Rio.

And which novelas have you watched?

message 114: by Edit~A (new)

Edit~A (edit-a) | 4259 comments Wow, oh I literally grew up watching them, so I've watched lots and lots of them :D i don't remember their english names right but clone, belissima, favorite, the house of seven women, scorpions and lizards, america, the brazil avenue, india love story etc.

message 115: by Tati (new)

Tati oh, all of those were good! Clone was awesome! House of seven women (Casa das Sete Mulheres, in Portuguese) is actually about Southern Brazil history.

message 116: by Edit~A (new)

Edit~A (edit-a) | 4259 comments Oh clone was perfect!! Lol
And yeah I know, that one was good too!!
I mean the cast is always amazing so they just can't be bad :D

message 117: by Tati (new)

Tati there are some bad ones, guess their rights just don't get sold LOL

message 118: by Edit~A (new)

Edit~A (edit-a) | 4259 comments Maybe lol
By the way there is that actress Aracy Balabanian, she has an armenian heritage, when I was a kid I wanted to be her granddaughter, so I can live there too lol

message 119: by Tati (new)

Tati You don't need to be her granddaughter to live here LOL I'm pretty sure there is an Armenian neighborhood in São Paulo

message 120: by Edit~A (new)

Edit~A (edit-a) | 4259 comments Well I was a kid :D didn't know much back then. Yeah there are many of them there :)

Hi! Welcome Ubah!

So far we have given out the descriptions to each team member using Random.org. But since we weren't sure if you were going to join us we haven't given any to you yet. I believe Danielle's plan was for you to start on part 4? You can check with her. Also if you want to know what everyone is reading it's posted in our team progress threads. ^-^

message 126: by Danielle ♥ (new)

Danielle ♥ (readwithmedani) | 2410 comments Welcome Ubah!! Yep, we need someone to start on Part 4, Ubah! That means finding five books to read with titles that start with J, U, M, N, and I. If it's a buddy read (in this group), it's extra points!

Edit~A (edit-a) | 4259 comments So girls, I want to ask you something, because our timezones are different, I asked Sarah and she said that it's up to me to start in PST or my tz, if I choose mine then it means I start sooner but have to finish sooner as well, so I wanted to ask you what to do, cause I don't know, we are a team in this after all :)

message 128: by Tati (new)

Tati I usually run on my TZ, I find it's more comfortable for me

So i guess I'll be reading Just One Drop (The Grey Wolves, #3) by Quinn Loftis for J, Unearthly (Unearthly, #1) by Cynthia Hand for U, Matched (Matched, #1) by Ally Condie for M, still thinking for N, Inescapable (The Premonition, #1) by Amy A. Bartol for I

I don't mind either way since I don't really follow my timezone anyway. I'm more of a night owl so I'm up more at night. I'll probably start early too.

I can try to do Unearthly and Matched with you if you like. ^-^ But typically you would go to the Wanted Buddy Reads thread and post what books you want to read and find others who want to read it as well.

Thanks, and sorry for asking so many questions :D

message 140: by Tati (new)

Tati If it's within our team, we get more buddy points, but that's all, you can buddy it with anyone

The format for how to do it is in there.

Ok I posted your choices on our team progress page here. If you change any of your books, just let me know! And when you choose a book for N, just let me know! Matched is a great book, btw, I really enjoyed it but have not read any more in that series yet.

message 149: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments I've just thought of something. If we all finish our books early and there's still a lot of time left are we going to do it again? And how will the books be decided the second time?
