Amazon is amazing. You could even get second hand books too! Although those aren't always cheap either. lol. I've tried to get some that were 3 times the original cost cause I'm particular about cover once I've started a series! >.<

Tati No, no, no, I don't do second hand books LOL I can't stand to see a broken spine on my shelf. *shudders*

Danielle ♥ (readwithmedani) | 2410 comments Aww I feel bad for you guys, now I just want to ship you guys a bunch of paperback books!!!Lol!! We are lucky here in the US, there is a store of some sort that sells books within miles of most people's house, and if not, we can order anything off Amazon.com with 2-5 day shipping. Like Bookbuyer said, paperbacks here are usually around $10 ($5-$15 maybe) and hardcovers are more like $20-$30. I definitely agree, I'd rather read a paper book than a digital book! :)

Reading Rediscovered (readingrediscovered) | 876 comments As soon as I finish Invincible (Chronicles of Nick, #2) by Sherrilyn Kenyon , I will start working on Round 3 books - aiming first for the 800 pages challenge (I just bought The Shadowhunter's Codex by Cassandra Clare and The Bane Chronicles by Cassandra Clare and they are all I want to read right now).

Edit~A (edit-a) | 4259 comments Girls don't we get a bonus +1 point for BR? It's just that I had 12, and after posting Alienated it's 13 shouldn't it have been 14 instead, when there was BR? Just curious :D

You do get a point for the buddy read, but it goes in the buddy read column instead of the points column, so you went from 5 buddy read points to 6, and then 12 points to 13 points. so from 17 to 19 ☺

Tati Morning, everyone!

I've finished The Bet (teammate's initial) yesterday, and have moved on to Becoming Rain (water).

message 1022: by Tati (new)

Tati COme on girls! We're third place! Let's finish this game!

I'm confident I can finish the Body Finder today and maybe Fire Study too so I'll work hard to finish both today.

message 1024: by Tati (new)

Tati I'm guessing that one of them is for the fantasy description? That is the only description we need to complete part 3

message 1025: by Tati (new)

Tati Has anyone heard from Ubah?

message 1026: by Edit~A (last edited Jun 26, 2015 07:18AM) (new)

Edit~A (edit-a) | 4259 comments 81 pages and I'm finally done with the Heir of Fire, at least the ending is interesting, should have been the whole book like that - after 2 amazing books, I'm kind of disappointed.
Then I'll read Hex Hall I guess, I'll finish it till tomorrow, and then I'll move to United we spy, and that's it for me

Yeah I'm using Body Finder for Fantasy now so far. Couldn't get into In the Hand of the Goddess

Tati Edita, Heir of Fire was a drag... I'm hoping Queen of Shadows will be more like the two first books.

I'm not sure what Ubah is reading. She posted one book on the 24th, but I'm not sure what she's up to now.

message 1031: by Tati (new)

Tati I guess I'll work on some of her descriptions, then. They can always go toward a third game, in any case.

message 1032: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 91089 comments Mod
I don't think she usually reads all that many books, the 9 she's read for this challenge has double her number for the year so she's been doing pretty well really.

message 1033: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 91089 comments Mod
Okay guys, it looks like the best descriptions for you to be going for at the moment are
- Need a hand? We each have 8! Read a fantasy story.
- U

as these will complete parts 3 and 4 ☺

message 1034: by Edit~A (new)

Edit~A (edit-a) | 4259 comments I think she is reading her assigned books, but it'd be nice if she could log in sometimes :)

U is my description, should I read that book now instead of boarding school? I can read that one after U :)

It's up to you, you'll just get the points quicker if you read U first. It's totally up to you though ☺

Danielle ♥ (readwithmedani) | 2410 comments Almost done with my last two books for Round 2 :)

message 1039: by Edit~A (new)

Edit~A (edit-a) | 4259 comments then of course I'll read United We Spy for U :)

message 1040: by Tati (new)

Tati Girls, if you need any help, I'm free and can pick up any description (except for the ones I've already done, of course)

Tati, I think we should start reading Ubah's books since we haven't heard from her... if you haven't read those descriptions yet. What do you girls think? I'm just starting to get nervous about finishing game two :) I'll be done with my last two books by tomorrow for sure.

I checked and Tati hasn't done either shoes or soil?

message 1044: by Tati (new)

Tati I can do that. There are a few descriptions of hers that I can't do, though.

Here's what I can do:

shoes
soil

I can't do the 1995 book, as I've already done that

If I get my books done today like I'm hoping and I can get interested in the Alanna series again I can read Woman Who Rides Like A Man in which this version was published in 1995: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1.... Don't count on me though if someone else can do it. I'm just backup.

message 1046: by Tati (new)

Tati That 1995 description is the toughest one... If anyone is interested in reading it, Sabriel (Abhorsen, #1) by Garth Nix The Golden Compass (His Dark Materials, #1) by Philip Pullman Digital Fortress by Dan Brown would fit

I have two of the three and another that fits it. But I'm not always 100% reliable as you guys know.

message 1048: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments Maybe we can all look at our books and one or two of us look at Jessica and Ubah's and see if one of our books could count for 1995? And hopefully the description it might replace is easier to do.

message 1049: by Edit~A (new)

Edit~A (edit-a) | 4259 comments I looked before, I don't have anything for that year :/

message 1050: by Tati (new)

Tati Thing is, part 1 is the one we need the most books to complete as things stand right now.

If I'm not wrong, the fantasy, 800 pages, and U are being read right now, correct?

We still need 6 books for part 1
