Rachmi | 4882 comments Aw it's too bad for Elizabeth. But am glad we have someone else ready to take her place. So welcome Sharon!

I've finally finished my second book, a book with tree. I cannot post my review now, though. But I think you can cross off the description, Amy.

I'm reading Clipped Wings now. It's for flies description and is a buddy reading. I hope we can get as much points this weekend :)

Sharon Mariampillai | 11004 comments Hi guys, I'm reading Hex Hall (Hex Hall, #1) by Rachel Hawkins for the mid year clean up challenge and it has a buddy read thread that i am updating and it's a fantasy book, so I may use that instead to boost our buddy reads points.

Rachmi | 4882 comments Just finished 2 books, Clipped Wings (Clipped Wings, #1) by Helena Hunting and Seduce Me at Sunrise (The Hathaways, #2) by Lisa Kleypas . I actually wanted to use Clipped Wings as Flies description but Amy used the description first, so I move it to A Character Name 'Sarah' description for Game 2.

But now I'm thinking to use it for the same description for Game 1 as Erin hasn't posted her review for this description yet. And when she post her review, we can use it for Game 2 instead. What do you guys think?

As for Seduce Me at Sunrise, I use it for Soil/Earth description in Game 2. Again, it can also be used for House description in Game 1 as Mona hasn't posted her review yet.

I suggest it because I think it's better if we finish parts of Game 1 first. So that we can get bonus point for finishing each part.

message 154: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Mariampillai | 11004 comments I think it goes to whoever posts first because I posted my review of Party Girl for Book with shoes or trainers on the cover and it was added to the first game instead of second game.

Oh okay, then. I'll edit my review and change its descriptions :)

Thanks Sharon.

Sharon Mariampillai | 11004 comments No problem. I am going to read Ugly Love for the title starting with U, and Maybe Someday for title starting with M for Game 2. I'm almost done Ugly Love.

You're a fast reader, Sharon! I'll start On Jellicoe Road for J later in the afternoon. It'll be a buddy reading with Amy. So we'll have two J complete for part 4!

message 158: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Mariampillai | 11004 comments I read fast but I actually have slowed down than in the last challenge. I read too fast in the beginning and then it slowed down. This time I am starting slow but trying to help the team out as well.

message 159: by Rachmi (new)

Rachmi | 4882 comments I'm not a fast reader. I usually need two days to finish my reading for books with 200-400 pages. But I don't know why I need more time to finish those books this last two months.

message 160: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Mariampillai | 11004 comments My shortest reading time is 1 day and my longest is a month but that because I'm in university and I have have midterms and finals.

message 161: by Rachmi (new)

Rachmi | 4882 comments I can only read mostly at the afternoon/night and the morning before I go to work. So there is not much time for me to read in weekdays. I have more time on weekends, though. That, if I don't go anywhere and just stay at home :D

message 162: by Amy (new)

Amy | 2535 comments I've been trying to cross off game one before moving on to another if possible so if you can see someone hasn't used a description they have allocated yet you can use that. I'll just move it around so they can still use it but for a different set of descriptions. Hope that makes sense.

Looking forward to starting Jellicoe Road with you later Rachmi. :)

message 163: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Mariampillai | 11004 comments Cool, thanks for clearing that up, Amy. I appreciate it.

message 164: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Mariampillai | 11004 comments It seems we need just 3 more descriptions to complete part 1.

That makes sense, it's what I was thinking too, actually. But I don't want to just "take" someone description. Now since we three have the same thoughts I think it's clearer than before I post my reviews :D

Can't wait for Jellicoe Road. It'll be my first Melina Marchetta books.

message 166: by Amy (new)

Amy | 2535 comments I'm half way through The Queen of Zombie Hearts (White Rabbit Chronicles, #3) by Gena Showalter at the moment but it's pretty slow. I can usually finish a book in two days but it does take me longer if I'm not enjoying the book.

Can anyone think of a different description for the book Twisted for Erin? I don't really want to allocate it to the third game yet because we haven't finished the first.

message 167: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Mariampillai | 11004 comments I'll check it out for you.

message 168: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Mariampillai | 11004 comments It can be under Romance or one of her 800 pages

message 169: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Mariampillai | 11004 comments I would put it under game 2 part 2 read 800 pages, so she'll read around 300 pages.

message 170: by Rachmi (new)

Rachmi | 4882 comments It can also put under food description as I check another editions, there is a cover with cupcake on it.

message 171: by Amy (new)

Amy | 2535 comments I guess we should wait and see what Erin would prefer to put it under. :)

It's my first Melina Marchette book too Rachmi, i hope it'll be a good starting point.

Me too! I started it 5 minutes ago. But since I'm at the office and am about to go home, I'll continue later at night.

message 173: by Amy (new)

Amy | 2535 comments I don't have the book on me at the moment because I'm also at the office haha. I'll start tonight. What time is it there then? It's 10:34am in the UK. :)

message 174: by Rachmi (new)

Rachmi | 4882 comments Oh, it seems that you just start your work for today while here it's already 4:51 pm now. I'll go home in half an hour.

You are still good to read that one! There's only two people using that description so far and it's not done in the first game yet. :)

I find time zones totally bizarre. Hope you are having a good evening Rachmi! :)

message 179: by Mona (new)

Mona | -4 comments and I already finished 200 pages of the description of the 800 pages and I start reading HP5 for the boarding school description too. this all I'm doing now :D

message 180: by Neha (new)

Neha (neha71580) | 528 comments Sorry guys, I've been a bit behind, thanks to the Wifi, but I'm back on track! Onto reading third and fourth book together, and then I'll read Paper towns to complete all my descriptions for Game 1 :). I have chose only 1 book for Game 2 so far, but I'll be looking for more!

Yep, descriptions will be crossed off on the first game before the second, that's the only way I can do it or you'd miss out on bonus points ☺

I already added that for you when you gave me your original list so you are fine to read it whenever you are ready.

I'll be finishing a B,A,T book tonight so we're not desperate for that description to be completed. I would read it with you but I'm getting overwhelmed by all the books I'm reading this month for some reason. I'll have to check your review out though, it does sound good. :)

Well done guys! You only need to complete one more description to complete part 1 ☺
- Read a book set in another world

Hey guys, quick poll to find out if you guys want a team challenge in July or not - https://www.goodreads.com/poll/show/1...

Thanks!

message 189: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Mariampillai | 11004 comments Hey guys,

I have a re-read of The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe which can go under the description Read a book set in another world. I can add it if you want, so we can complete part 1 of game 1. Ket me know if I should post it or not. Thanks.

Sharon

message 190: by Amy (new)

Amy | 2535 comments Hey Sharon, as long as you've only re-read one book this month i think that'll be fine. :)

message 191: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Mariampillai | 11004 comments Okay, I'm going to post it and we can complete part 1 of Game 1.

message 192: by Amy (new)

Amy | 2535 comments You are a reading machine Sharon, what would we do with you?! Haha

I've got to be honest i haven't been reading much the last two days (blame Orange is the New Black being back on Netflix) but I'm going to try and finish Jellicoe Road today. :)

How are you guys doing? :)

message 193: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Mariampillai | 11004 comments Ya..I'm pretty fast but I want to improve our score, so I'm reading books for the second game since most of my books are in that one. I hope we can catch up to other teams. I thought that I could help us finish part 1 so I will slow down now. Lol.

message 194: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Mariampillai | 11004 comments That show is really good for distracting readers I agree with that. 100%!

message 195: by Rachmi (new)

Rachmi | 4882 comments Amy, you're not the only one. I didn't get much time for reading either. I did finish 2 books, though. And hopefully I can finish another one before Monday. I haven't checked our progress yet, but are there many description left for our first round?

message 196: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Mariampillai | 11004 comments Yes, we need to complete parts 2,3,4.

message 197: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Mariampillai | 11004 comments But I believe we can finish part 3 and 4 first and part 2 last

message 198: by Amy (new)

Amy | 2535 comments We have about 15 descriptions left to complete and then we'll be onto game two. I agree that we will be finishing part three first, I'll be reading Paper Towns next.

That's great Rachmi, at least you finished some books! :)

message 199: by Amy (new)

Amy | 2535 comments Sharon wrote: "That show is really good for distracting readers I agree with that. 100%!"

It's a real struggle to read when all you want to do is watch tv. I think i might sit outside today, hopefully there won't be as many distractions.

message 200: by Rachmi (new)

Rachmi | 4882 comments Which description do you guys think for these books Tempt Me at Twilight (The Hathaways, #3) by Lisa Kleypas and The List (College of Charleston, #1) by Kate L. Mary ?
