this book is set in England and is a romance. this woman is mourning the tragic death of her favourite actor who tragically died in a boating accident or something. a new guy moves into her apt complex and he's all kinds of odd. she comes out of her funk about the actor dying and befriends the odd neighbour. (view spoiler)[the odd neighbour is really the actor in disguise keeping an extremely low profile. he mad this bet with a billionaire friend that the only way he would win an Oscar is if it was posthumously. so he really does win and later reveals himself to the public and some other things crap happened that I can't remember (hide spoiler)]

I really need the help because it's been eating me up that I can't remember author, character names or the lot.

What year did you read it? Was it old or new at the time? Was it Harlequin?

Shame...I read it last yr 2014. (i snuck it in while studying for exams so that's probably why its fuzzy) .

Okay i believe it was published within the last 5 yrs though.There seemed to be some modern references that I very vaguely remember. No it wasn't a harlequin or mills and boon. More than 250 pages. Seemed to be a stand alone novel. No prequels or even possible sequels.
