I'm a big campaigner for Jon Snow since I think he is of Targaryen blood. To many people are rooting for Daenerys, I think Martin is going to kill her off in the most climatic way possible. As far as who will hold the thrown, I don't think anybody will really. It's like it's cursed for who ever obtains it.
*spoilers to those who haven't read much into the Dorne plot* Martell family all the way! I was so moved when Doran gave Arianne that speech about how Oberyn is the viper and he is the grass that hides him. Brotherly luurve at its finest! At this point, I'm rooting for House Martell to win the iron throne. I'll come back to this arguement after everyone's finished with the books. hahahaside note: We haven't been to High Garden yet, both in the show and the book. I'm curious what Garlan Tyrell is like, since he is also a cripple. Doran vs Garlan, two guys in a wheelchair currently in charge of the 2 houses left standing, battle of wits everyone!
I hope he doesn't kill Dany! Oh my gosh, my world would crumble. Lol. I have to admit, I really am hoping its Dany who gets the throne- although you make a good point about it being cursed. Haha. I just feel like she has the ability to 'do it right', I guess.*spoilers abound below*
Anyway! I just finished the book! Soooo good! Agh! I don't even know where to start. My mind is reeling from the last like ten or twelve chapters. Lol. What the heck did Brienne cry out as she was being hanged?! How fantastic is it that Cersei is getting exactly what she dished out to Margaery? >=] And Jaime! I'm so proud of him. =] And lets not forget Lady Catelyn. Holy moly, I can't say I'm surprised she came back as this cold, revenge-seeking machine. Haha. And Arya! ='( Lets just hope what doesn't kill her makes her stronger.
I'm not sure if I'm going to pick up A Dance with Dragons right away yet. Part of me really, really wants to but then another part of me also wants to pick up this other book I've been eyeing for a while (Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children). I'll get in touch with Mel and see how far along she's gotten and whether she wants to do a readalong for book 5 as well. Then I'll let you guys know! Until then, lets keep talking! Haha. There's plenty still left to be discussed. =p
Finished A Feast for Crows a few days ago. Its definitely paced differently from the previous 3 books but by no means is it bad. I enjoyed it as it was, a change. Started Dance with dragons already and it's pretty good!

*Big spoiler concerning Dorne below*
Um, so how awesome is it that Martell had secret dealings with Viserys and Daenerys?! I am totally behind Dorne now that I know the prince is repping the Targaryens. Hehe. Fire and blood!
So I just have to ask. Out of all of the families contending for the throne (as of book 4), whose your favorite? Who do you think will get it? And who would make the best King/Queen?
