Lauren Coles Hi, I've never been to a book signing before and was wondering how early and any tips on going to book events? I'm going to the A Court of Thorns and Roses, by Sarah J. Maas book signing at waterstones piccadilly tomorrow. Its a ticketed event but I still don't know how early to be. I get social anxiety and am going alone so wanted to be as prepared as I possibly could. Thanks

This was my first signing but you have to take into account EVERYTHING... Not to mention, it'll also give you a chance to kind of just get ready. And with an author like Sara J. Maas you might need that time just to find a seat!

How was it???

Lauren Coles It was really good, I ended up being about 30mins early as I got a bit lost when I got of the tube lol. Sarah was so sweet and funny. There was about 1 hour where she talked about both acotar and tog and then she signed books books for maybe 4 hours. The event started at 7pm and I didn't get my books signed until 9.30pm so queued for 1 and a half hours but I got all my tog signed and my acotar dedicated. There was still a massive queue when I left. Sarah was lovely as I got a bit nervous when it was time for her to sign my books so didn't say much to her but she complemented the jewellery I was wearing and I left really happy.
