Jae Bennett | 9 comments This is a YA novel I read sometime in 2014, and I can't remember for the life of me the name of it.

It starts off with a younger boy, probably 14 or 15, and hes in an arcade/casino type thing with his father. The games are all virtual and you basically plug yourself into them in a way (I can't remember exactly) and you can win money, and the boy is really good at it (I think).

Well, someone contacts him from a military program and wants him to join, so he does, and they train him with virtual simulations and put a computer inside his brain so he can think faster. The whole point of the program is to train people to fight robots in space, to claim territory in space, and they're up against Russia and China and a few others if I remember correctly.

Thats about it. I'll be posting more soon, because I forgot a lot of book titles this past year...

Jae Bennett | 9 comments SOme additional things I suddenly remembered: There are already people fighting in space, and to be able to fight in space, you have to have a sponsor, and the main character has a guy try to sponsor him, but really he's just making way for the guy thats already fighting in space (I think). And the main character has a sponsor trying to get him, but he doesn't want it.

Also, one of the most memorable parts of the book was when they had to make a virus and test it out on other students, and the main character was clucking like a chicken for an hour (or barking like a dog i cant remember which)
