I read John Green's 'Looking for Alaska' last year. It was my first John Green book. I blubbered all over it. I have a feeling this one will need some kleenex to go with it too. I hope I can fit this one in for the month as well to read along with you guys!

I'm so sad, I'm number 73 on the wait list for this book and I don't have the heart to buy non series books that are less than 500 pages because I always want more! I'm going to have to find a copy faster.

Did anyone here listen to the audio book? I am debating between buying the physical copy and the audio book since the audio book won some awards. I just wanted to get some opinions.

I listened to the audio and was completely captured. I would highly recommend it.

I just got the audiobook in the mail from Amazon (it was actually cheaper then the hardback!) Can't wait to start listening =)

This is the only book I have ever literally thrown across the room after reading. This book was just so odgeogjijrhrgjrr(no words) but in a good way, of course!

Okay so I read it. This is not the book I typically read and if it was not for this book club I would not have chosen to read it. Books like this cause me physical pain in which I have to literally put the book down and cry. I work as a nurse in long term care, and I deal with death and dying on an almost daily basis, but here goes:

I'm actually surprised that the ending of the book didn't cut off midsentence like the novel Augustus and Hazel read.
I'm not surprised at the death of Augustus, unfortunately one of them had to go in order to make the book work.
There were so many moments in this book that made me tear up I won't list them all, but the pre-funeral in the church was by far the bittersweet of them for me.
I really appreciate that the topic of sex was dealt with in a tasteful manner and so very maturely. It's one of those milestones that teenagers look forward too but not exploited in the book.
Overall I'm glad I read it, but I won't go back for a reread...It's just too painful. (hide spoiler)]
