Angela | 3 comments As much as I can remember (unfortunately, not much!):

I read it between 2004 & 2007 and it strikes me that it was more contemporary than not.

It is definitely intended for adult audiences. I remember there being some strong language here and there.

It seems like there was some romantic plot points, but I can't remember specifics.

The biggest thing I remember is that the book was set in Ireland and a body was found in the moors/peat bogs. There was some issue with figuring out if the body was recently placed there or not due to the interesting effect of the moors on decomposition. There might have been a parallel plot or discussion of an older mystery as part of the story too, but most of the story takes place in modern times (and I could definitely be mixing up plots in my head).

Any suggestions would be great!

There's a whole series (not sure how similar the premise of each book is) so it might also be another in the series also.

I don't know if that's angela's book or not, but I think it looks very interesting Lee Anne--so much so that I've ordered a copy. :o)

Lee Anne (ladyofrohan2995) | 181 comments I *think* I tried to read it several years ago, but I didn't get into it for whatever reason. But when I was research all the books on bog bodies it popped up again, and I bought a copy. It's got an awesome premise and a great cover. . .hopefully it lives up to that.

I might have to stop checking this thread. This is the SECOND book that I've decided looked interesting in it. Hope your Mum has good taste in reading Lou, cause I'm going on "her" recommendation. :o)

This is from 2008, so probably too late, but also a murder mystery involving the discovery of a bog body: Sacrifice by SJ Bolton.

Lee Anne (ladyofrohan2995) | 181 comments Yeah, I'm pretty intrigued by that last one too.

Angela | 3 comments I'm hoping I get a chance to take a look at these tomorrow at the library. That first one looks familiar - so I'm thinking we found it! I'll let you know, and I agree with Ann, I think these are all going to be added to my "To Read" list anyway!

Angela | 3 comments Actually, reading the plot summary, Haunted Ground is the one! Thanks so much Ann!! And thanks to everyone else for the reading suggestions. I'm planning on reading them to get into the St. Patrick's Day spirit. Thanks again!!
