Flip flopping is alive and well after the election.

They probably think the pressure to do something is lessening as people get bogged down in the details of discussing all the sides points of view.

That 40 percent of unchecked sales is probably more about the money than the freedom to sell weapons without performing background checks.

In the future the credit card companies could come to the rescue of the gun industry by making pre-approved credit cards for making gun purchases without the need for a background check. You fill out the form online at home, then when you go to get a gun, the code for gun sale is keyed in to the credit card machine and the authorization comes back approving the sale.
