Werner | 2694 comments The idea for this thread was a bit late in hitting me; but I don't guess 2012 is so far in the past that we'll have trouble remembering it. :-) What were favorite reads last year? Try to limit your list to five items or so (you can list trilogies, for instance, together). I wasn't sure what folder to put this in, so I picked this one; but your choices don't have to be contemporary.

2012 was a good year in reading for me; I had more than five five-star ratings on my list. My top favorites, though, would be: Vols. 1 and 2 of Krisi Keley's Pro Luce Habere (the prequel to On the Soul of a Vampire, my favorite read of 2011); Brisingr and Inheritance, the third and fourth books of Christopher Paolini's Inheritance Cycle; Norah Lofts' Afternoon of an Autocrat; and Life in the Iron Mills and Other Stories, by 19th-century Realist author Rebecca Harding Davis.

Werner | 2694 comments Charly, I read the first book of the Hunger Games trilogy early this year, and gave it five stars! I'm looking forward to reading the next one sometime this spring.

Reggia | 2533 comments My daughter also rated The Hunger Games as her favorite she read this year. As for me, I'll have to look over my little list again.
