You do not need profiles merged, you need to to claim your author profile. You can do that here: ttp://www.goodreads.com/author/confirm/7022...

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm fairly certain Rivka has mentioned before that she's Jewish. I wouldn't be surprised if she's off in observance of Passover.

I understand your confusion, but they are actually very different types of merges.
There are effectively three types of profiles on Goodreads: user profiles, unclaimed author profiles, and Goodreads Author Program author profiles. The third kind is created when an author with a user profile claims an unclaimed author profile and is approved by GR staff. The user profile and unclaimed author profile are then magically combined.
But that's not what this thread is for. (In fact, with rare exceptions, I don't do that kind of merge at all.) This thread is for when there are both a claimed author profile (type 3) and an unclaimed one (type 2) for the same author. This is usually due to a misspelling or something similar, and a staff member is required to combine them. THAT is what this thread is for.
(Actually, looking back at your original post, that's not what you need either. You need your user profiles merged: the one that has been connected to the (claimed) author profile, and the new one you created with a different email address and password than the first. Again, that's something Support handles, so I suggest emailing the support@goodreads.com address or using the Contact Us form on the Help page.)

Sorry, but our records importer uses whatever spelling is provided by the import source. If it doesn't match the author record already here, it creates a new one. Hence this thread.
