What are y'all reading right now? Is it good so far?

I just finished Crewel by Gennifer Albin and enjoyed it quite a bit. It has elements that remind me of The Hunger Games, Matched, Delirium, and Partials, so if you like any of those I think it's worth checking out.My husband and I are reading The Guardians series out loud to each other. We're in the second book, E. Aster Bunnymund and the Warrior Eggs at the Earth's Core. It's for younger audiences (7-11), but it's so clever and well-written and enjoyable. I look forward to reading them to my kids when they get a little older.
I am currently reading Bitterblue and Clockwork Prince. If I can ever get a hold of the second Beautiful Creatures book I will be reading that too, but I am number 22 on the library hold list and I have been to three bookstores and no success.

I just finished Looking for Alaska by John Green and I FINALLY got Beautiful Creatures from the library yesterday (I had been #1 in line for a while), so it's next! I'm excited to actually get to participate in the discussion :)

I'm listening to book 6 in the Hollows Series, not YA but enjoyable.
I just finished a random book that was recommended to me called Edenbrooke, and loved it! It's a very clean regency romance...one of the best I've read. I'm wanting to re-read Beautiful Creatures next, since I can't really remember the story, but I can't find my copy.Jennifer: My question is the same as Tanya's. The only John Green book I've read is The Fault in Our Stars, which I loved, but I've heard mixed things about Looking For Alaska. How did you like it?
Tanya & Penelope: I was in the same boat as you two. I had read The Fault in Our Stars and LOVED it, so I was interested in reading some of his other books. I liked it a lot. I didn't like it as much as TFIUS, but I thought it was really well done. The humor is there, which was one of my favorite things about TFIUS. I really love the way that he writes - it is so straight-forward, but rich, and it is definitely there in Looking for Alaska. I have Paper Towns and An Abundance of Katherines to read once I'm done with Beautiful Creatures :)

Same here. TFIOS is incredible - need to read more of his books.
I just found a copy of Vampire Academy at the thrift store for $1, so I am going to start that. Headed to the bookstore this afternoon to finally spend a Christmas giftcard and totally took my to buy list from this group!

I'm reading Ever After right now...never thought Trent would make me drool over him, but it's happening.
So yeah. I'm reading Ever After (Hollows number whatever...), The Host (which I never said I'd read...it's all Marissa's fault!), and I occasionally read pages here and there in Kushiel's Scion. I've um, been "reading" that one since May.

I'm reading the 4th Game of Thrones book - "A Feast For Crows" - it's slow-going though and I'm not enjoying it as much as the first three. I also just picked up Defiance by C.J. Redwine today from the library & will soon dig into that.
I loved Looking for Alaska, and I've also read An Abundance of Katherines. I found a copy of Fault in Our Stars at Smith's SIGNED. Yeah. I bought it.

Currently, I am reading the third Game of Thrones book (and have been forever, but I am determined to finish it) and For the Win by Cory Doctorow (love it, will probably finish it before GofT), reading Phantom Tollbooth to the kid, listening to Beautiful Creatures and Far from the Tree. I like to have a bunch going at once, which can get confusing if characters have the same names, or if the plots are similar, but that is not happening with this lot.I bawled at the Fault in Our Stars. Sobbed! Sick kid, named Hazel! I can take almost anything but a sick kid.

I didn't like Crossed nearly as much as I liked Matched.

I'm about to open Spellbound, book 3 in the Hex Hall series. The first 2 were 4/5, so I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next.
I just skimmed through everyone's comments. Loved Edenbrook and Clockwork Prince. I didn't love Bitterblue; I felt like it was 'eh'. But still glad I read it.
I'm waiting for Everneath and a few other books from the library for my kindle.
I just started Paranormalcy. I think it will be a quick, easy read.

Sarah and Lisa. Yay GofT!!! I finished the second book a while ago but they were soooo long that the first two decimated my reading goal for the year. I really think they should have counted as two or three each. I might pick them back up again.

I'm with Sarah I definitely likes Matched better than Crossed, but I still can't wait to get my hands on Reached. Too bad I'm still waiting up around #15 in the queue...
I'll have to add Smoke and Bone to my list though. Everyone seems to be talking about that one lately!
I just finished Beautiful Creatures last night and have moved on to Bitterblue. I Loved Graceling and Fire, so I'm really hoping this one doesn't disappoint.I think I might need a little break from the YA fantasy though, so Madame Tussaud is on deck next.
GofT is ridiculously long. I had the four book set on my Kindle and got so frustrated with the seeming lack of progress that I had to get book 3 as a separate book. I make tons of progress on the series when I am on a plane, and I really enjoy it when I do actually read it.Randomly, I just discovered today that Goodreads tracks the number of books and pages read (all this mention of reading goals made me curious and I was about to spreadsheet it, der). My reading tanked between 2009-2012. Weird.

I'm trying to be disciplined about finishing book 4 of GofT though before it's due back at the library - so I'm holding off on easy reading until then.
I think I need to re-read The Host too - it's been awhile and I don't remember much of it.
It tracks pages?!?! OMG. That or else word count is way more telling than number of books. I really find it frustrating when I get the same credit for reading Number the Stars and GofT. I finished Everbound and am on to Carnival of Souls by Melissa Marr. Why did it take me so long to read it? Its been sitting on my self since last September. I LOVE it.

I LOVED Looking For Alaska! As a high school teacher though, I'm cautious about which students I give it to. Fabulous book.

Madame Taussaud was amazing- I adore Michelle Moran's writing, and read her books the day they come out. Have you read her other books?

I LOVE LOVE LOVE that whole series. It's up there with Harry Potter and The Hunger Games for me. Bitterblue is pretty intense, but so good. Each of those books are so different, but so amazing in their own ways.
Jacqueline: I haven't read any of her other books yet, but I've heard good things and have them in my queue. I adore historical fiction, so I'm sure I'll enjoy them all...once I get around to them!

I really hope I love it too! It's so disappointing when the last book in a collection doesn't live up to the bar set by the first ones, so I have my fingers crossed.
I just finished Days of Blood and Starlight (Daughter of Smoke and Bone #2) and I LOVED it! This series is at the top of my list of favs. The detail and imagination are out of this world (literally-ha!). I can't recommend these books enough.

I just finished The Host and halfway through another Artemis Fowl book. Next I'm reading Hush, Hush. I've never heard of it, but I liked the cover and discovered there's 4! :X
I haven't read too many YA books so I'm going to have to look up most of these! :) I just finished Graceling and loved that - I've put holds on the other two at the library so I'm looking forward to those.

I keep seeing it around, but am never thrilled enough to put it on hold. Don't want to be missing out on something!
Ha Toni beat me to it!! I was going to say the same thing re hush hush. I read the first two or three of the fallen series and was quite unimpressed by them.
I loved Hush, Hush. I still need to read #4: Finale. I read the first Fallen book and it was eh. I plan on reading the second and third in that series this month.

Alright, I finished it. I felt it was very Twilight-ish. I'm anxious to read the next one, but fairly certain it'll be more of the same. Time to read Prodigy now though. :)
