Jaimee | 2 comments I just finished City of Bones and now I'm reading The Mysterious Benedict Society for another book club. I'm enjoying it!

I'm new to this book group and glad to have some book nerds to chat with and get reading recommendations from : )

Meadow (meadoweow) | 30 comments Love Mysterious Benedict Society! My kid and I read it together (I read, she listened) and we think Kate is great! That reminds me that we need to start on book 3

GofT: "Give it a minimum of 700 pages!" This made me laugh, because so many pages! but so true.

Toni (stitchandpink) | 26 comments Recently finished Bitterblue, and just wrapped up Game of Thrones last night.

I really enjoyed Bitterblue even though it was driving me crazy trying to figure out what was going on! I kept thinking old characters might "come back to life" even though I knew they were dead. So weird.

Game of Thrones wasn't slow for me like most of you have said, but it kinda felt pointless to read what I had already seen on TV. I almost didn't bother finishing because everything was almost word for word from the show. Hopefully I'll read the 2nd book before I watch season 2 and that will be better.

Now I'm on to Gates of Paradise which I'm hoping will wrap everything up nicely. The Blue Bloods series just feels like it's really been dragging through the last few books.

I also LOVE Michelle Moran - Madame Tussaud was my favorite. Nefertiti is also great, and I have a copy of Cleopatra's Daughter by my bedside. Good stuff!

Laura (shespeaksbooks) | 20 comments I re-read Matched and Crossed before reading Reached. Reached wasn't what I expected, but it was a decent ending.

I re-read The Host. And really enjoyed it. Again.

My hubby and I took turns reading each other Gone Girl. Whew!

We visited the 6th Floor Museum in the Texas School Book Depository in Dallas last weekend, so I just started Stephen King's 11/22/63.

Jacqueline (jterbrack) Cleopatras Daughter is awesome!! I adore Michelle Moran. Have you read Winter Sea? If you like Moran, try it. Her stuff is terrific too.

October 22nd! It's sooooo good isn't it. In my top 10 (maybe 5) favorite series of all time.

Tanya (mommytanya) | 125 comments I just finished Wench - amazing historical fiction.

Not sure what to listen to next. I'm reading Succubus Heat (Richelle Mead's adult series). I'll read either Mind Games or Hollow city next.

message 111: by Jacqueline (new)

Jacqueline (jterbrack) If you liked Wench, try The Kitchen House. I loved them both.

It's on my to-read!! But I think I'll wait a bit as Wench left me feeling a little raw. I need something light and fun.

message 113: by Carrie (new)

Carrie I'm reading Hopeless by Colleen Hoover and listening to Once was Lost written and narrated by Sara Zarr. <3
