I have it on my tbr list
Hi, my name is Alyssa. I'm 25, a stay at home mom of two little girls, and an online college student. Plus, my husband is military, so I occasionally have to do everything alone. I've become good at juggling things.I love to read, but don't ask my favorite book. It will always change based on the last great book I read. It's currently Water for Elephants, but I'm sure that will change in about a week.
I'm originally from Wisconsin, but the Army sent my husband to Washington state, so here we are. But we don't know how long we'll stay here (we've been here for 4 years already). I look forward to that adventure.
Welcome Alyssa! I'm from Oregon, but went to school in Tacoma. Are y'all at that base in Lakewood or something? If so, that place has such a beautiful view of Rainier. Oh man I miss that mountain. :)
Hey Alyssa! I'm like that as well, my favourite book right now is TFIOS but before that it was Insurgent and before that.... Well, you know Welcome to the group! :)

Was in Seattle just after Christmas--had a beautiful view of Mt Rainier for about three minutes. Then the clouds covered it.

I also have a cat with attitude, her name is Kity Purry - she is very vocal!
I love Stephen King too. His earlier books are my favorites, though.
Thank you and yes I really like his earlier work much better. Need to play catch up and read some more of his new stuff. The last one I read was The Dome. only got half way through Still haven't finished it
Great book and I also loved shawshank too It was called something Rita Hayworth though as one of his short stories.

" beautiful view of Rainier. Oh..."I miss seeing Rainier. Traveling into Seattle and getting the Space Needle in front of Rainier... That was always my favorite.
Hi, I'm Tamara! I'm from Chicago. Im really into YA right now, but generally love anything action/adventure/paranormal/sci-fi! I recently started Divergent by Veronica Roth! Nice to meet all of you! One of my biggest dislikes is when bad movies happen to good books!! :)
Hi my name is Nicola, I'm from Dublin! I love reading but have lost the time and am dying to get back into the swing of things! I like all books really, movie wise I like history, drama and psychological thrillers!

Hi Heather, I just got your book in the mail yesterday, I am finishing another book today and will start reading yours tomorrow...
Hi everyone, I am hoping to find some lovely book buddies here.
I was born in Tasmania (that's the little island at the bottom of Australia) and for love I abandoned the sunshine and moved to the UK (that's the little island on the other side of the world).
I love writing (I am the author of Wombat Sushi) and reading (because it distracts me when I can't write).
I seem to be addicted to brackets today.
I look forward to meeting y'all.
Hugs,
Rhonda Louise
Hi, Rhonda! How long have you lived in the UK? It sounds like you would have quite the adjustment from the move. Have you read any good books lately?
Hi,Rhonda. It's great to meet you. Not only does this group have a new member but I now have another book on my TBR.

Hi Rhonda... its great to meet you!!! well if you are looking for book buddies you are in the right place!
Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. It's lovely to talk to you. Cheryl, you are my hero.I've been in the UK for just over 7 years. We celebrated our seventh wedding anniversary yesterday by almost forgetting the date, spending the day apart, having a mild tiff and falling asleep on the couch.
And they say romance is dead ...
Welcome to the group Blaze. You'll be turning 13 or 30? I don't know any 13 year olds who are into politics and even know who C.Rice is. Good for you!!
I was trying to think up an original way to introduce myself and failed miserably! My name is Vicki, and I am a Canadian prairie dweller. Much of my life is taken up with teaching high school English(for a few more years)and when time is open, I read and write (poetry for the most part). I am really looking for a group that enjoys discussions, not only about books but ideas as well. I like lively discussions, people interested in all aspects of being alive, and any activity that allows me to ignore housework. I dislike arrogance and ignorance. As an English teacher, I love the classics, but for relaxation I am devoted to suspense and mystery novels. The non-fiction I read is often about language, social issues, and education.
Welcome VickiLee!As long as you don't parse my sentences and correct my grammer we'll get along fine!
Heya, This looks like a great book group! My name is Rebecca - but please call me Bec. I live in Adelaide, South Australia, although I was raised in a rural town. I moved to the city so that I can study to become a teacher - I'm studying to be a History/English teacher.
I spend most of my spare time reading, and participate in a real life book club and The Seasonal Reading Challenge here on Goodreads. Anyone else from the SRC hang about here? Between these groups and university, I get a good selection of different books. My guilty pleasure/reading for enjoyment books are generally about war, fiction or non-fiction. I also enjoy the occasional thriller, mystery or even YA books.
Look forward to meeting lots of people, and making new friends!
