I've read a few of Dean Koontz books. I actually have an Odd Thomas book, but before I start on that series I wanted to start on his Frankenstein books. I'm interested in how he is able to turn a story that's been done about a million times into something exciting.

I like most of what Dean Koontz writes. WATCHER was the first book I read by him and I loved it. I didn't like the movie very much. The thing about him is that his works are not confined to one genre.
One more thing. Somehow I ended up getting newletters from him every few months. It's mostly about upcoming books, and projects as well as offering special books for astronomical prices. But in the newsletter he often tells stories about his publishing experiences and he is really quite funny.

Welcome everyone. If we're talking BBC my favorite is Doctor who. I also like the reruns of Star Trek Next Generation,
I think I'm one of the few people who have yet to watch any Doctor Who. Hangs head in shame, I really should start them. Love watching Star Trek:TNG episodes when I catch them on tv. Haven't watched any in ages.
Hi, I'm Jenny. Brand new to the group. I'm from California, I'm a mom of 2 boys. I love horror, true crime, fantasy and books that are disturbing to the average reader. Feel free to add me as a friend. I'd love new leads to great books.

I love Doctor Who, Star Trek anything (I was in Jr High when TNG was on! That was our family night TV show!), Once Upon a Time, Grim...Sadly I have discovered that I can argue minute points about Star Trek. Yes, I am now one of those Trekkies.
Hi! I'm Victoria! I'm a proud California girl currently going to school in the Hudson Valley, NY.Other than reading, I like to bake.
I have a tendency to get bored with books and stop reading them half or three quarters of the way through.
Recently, I have been interested in non-fiction books, mostly in economics and history.

Hi, Victoria. I just started with this group yesterday. I am a retired teacher from Canada, and I love history, both in nonfiction and historical fiction forms. What kind of history do you like? It seems like folks are pretty friendly in this group. Looking forward to chatting and sharing possible reads.
Hi everyone, yes this group is pretty friendly I've been here a month and love the atmosphere. Denisa, you like the first Dr Who more than the second? Do you mean the old television series, as we're currently on the 11th Dr with Matt Smith (just found out he's leaving at Christmas though, so time for the 12th time lord!) Obviously David Tennant is my favourite Dr, but unfortunately he had to leave the show to marry me ;)
Hey Denisa, did you know there is a contest you can enter to win strip to England and tour the estate where "Downtown Abbey" is filmed? You also have tea with the current owner and get a few other side trips too, like visiting Buckingham Palace and Selfridges. It is sponsored by PBS and that river cruise line that advertises on Downtown Abbey. I'll find out the info and see if I can post it on Goodreads - I am technically challenged, though.
Hey everyone, I'm Jenny, and I'm from the west of ireland. I love reading. I don't have a favourite genre but I'm not a huge fan of YA as I prefer a book with a bit of grit. Open to add friends and glad I found this group :-)

Greetings, all. My name is Joel. I live in Arizona, and write humorous fiction when not recruiting executives of various shapes and sizes. Looking for potential book reviewers, as well as others with an odd sense of humor. You know - the type who recognize something funny before anyone else in the room!
Jennifer wrote: "Hya Joel, I may not be the first to get the joke but I'm often laughing long after its over lol"That can be fun, too, depending on where you are and who else is around.
