Welcome to the group John :)

welcome John... glad to have here with us..

hi Ashley... welcome abroad....I have a cat and also love tea hot or cold and of course I like my coffee too. I have 7 parrots also..
Glad to you have you with us

Jack I heard the movie was wonderful though..

Also, I think they did a good job adapting the book.

My reading interests are really open and vast. I did a BA in English Lit & Film Music composition & as a result have read many of the 'Classics.' Still I adore reading & Usually find myself reading 4-5 book at one time.
Also, Aside from movies, and a few TV selections we tend to read aloud as well and/or work on collaborative or individual art or other projects we may be involved in!
This group seems open to a kinda varied interests, multifaceted individual like moi!!!!

I prefer to read a whole series if it's available to me. I read the so-far entire Sooki Stackhouse series in a week a couple months back.
Lately, because of all my challenges, I can't do a whole series.
And, if a new book in a series finally comes out but it's been years, I have to at least read the previous book so I can remember what was going on!
Welcome and have fun!

Yeah, that too! Multiples? Because based on your photo, NO WAY.

I am from Tampa, Florida.
I like to read, eat, blog & sleep.
My favorite book would have to be the one I finished last month. The Perks of being a Wallflower♥ (the book was better than the movie)
I am a sophomore. I barely talk. I am one of tbe quiet/shy people you see at school.

I'm from Plymouth, UK but recently moved to Manchester so my partner is closer to his family.
I love reading, I love the places that it takes me away to, the images and the characters. I fall in love at every turn.
I'm a massive fantasy fiction fan... David Eddings, Terry Brooks being in my top 5 authors of all time. But I will usually give anything a go.
Other than reading which is why we're all here... I love to cross stitch... and I love to live life!
I love being a Mummy... to my darling 2 year old Chloe.
Hope to get to know some of you! :D xxx

I noticed you are reading " A Game of Thrones" - I finally started to reading the series also - I love it! I told my son he would like it too, since we exchange books sometimes, but he said he thought it was marketed towards women (?) Have you heard of that? Also, in case you are interested, there is an ongoing discussion on the Game of Thrones series here in Goodreads All Sorts.

I'm re-reading... second time around now haha! Although I couldn't finish the last one... because the one after isn't out yet and I've heard it's an almighty bunch of cliffhangers that I'm not sure my heart could take... so I decided to re read them.
Not heard that they were marketed towards women... they are definitely for a fantasy fan! The TV series may well have had more women in mind with all the pretty faces :P But... the books... My partner enjoyed them just as much as I did. And they were recommended to me by other guys too.
Going to have to get my butt in on some of those discussions! I'm GOT mad! Lol!!! xxx

Hi Ali,
I asked my son again and I got it wrong, he meant the TV series was geared for women. Whatever, I know of guys that like the books and TV series too.

The TV show is not geared towards women.
The TV show is geared towards people who enjoy watching good TV shows :)
Please inform your son of aforestated fact.

Also, I think they did a good job adapting the book."
hmmm maybe I should consider seeing it then... thanks for your insight on it
