Hi everyone i'm dennis from the philippines and i'm soaking in sweat because of the weather up here. I like reading mostly biographies and historical stuff but will read almost anything as long as it's readable and not a waste of my time. I hope everyones having a perfect day or night depending on your timezones.
Welcome Dennis. It's freezing here in Ireland, actually it's snowing! I hope you enjoy the group. :)
My name is Liz. I'm originally from Oregon/Washington, and I'm currently living in Fuzhou, China. I like to read a variety of things: mysteries, thrillers, historical fiction, non-fiction, young adult, classics, fiction, dystopia, etc. All sorts of things really. My favorite movies include Remember the Titans and Love Actually. My favorite musical artists include Joshua Radin and Billy Joel. Interesting/startling fact about me: I've only just discovered Goodreads and can't believe it took me so long to get here. (And by that, I mean I've heard it mentioned on some podcasts I've been listening to, but I only just joined this site - and therefore also am discovering groups to join).

Hey, all...I'm Craig, from Pennsylvania. My reading interests lie all across the realm of human interests... Science Fiction, Philosophy, History, Science, TechnoThrillers, Medicine and human conditions, etc.

Katherine wrote: "Just put a fiver on a complete outsider in the irish grand national. Fingers crossed."Good luck! We have had a recent surge of great news so hubby bought a lotto ticket last week. Not one number this weekend! But we have two more chances.
It's a bit of fun. Rarely put money on the horses but have to have a flutter on the irish grand national on Easter Monday, and on the Aintree grand national next weekend :)
Gah! I know a jockey has got to train for a falling horse, but I can just not imagine. I would be terrified! It was bad enough when I rolled my car Xmas night! Felt like a carnival ride, but I didn't set out to have the poo scared out of me that night!!
Hello! Everyone my name is Keziah Ramos! but please calle me Kez :) When I was 16 I found a portal that transports one into a world where anything you wish for is possible. They give the saying "be careful what you wish for" a whole new meaning. There I met creatures whose beauty is out of this world. . considering they are not from this world. The inhabitants of this world have prophesied the coming of their savior. It turns out it was me. I battled evil with nothing but bravery and love in my arsenal, of course a sword and a shield. As the destruction of evil came to be, a bright light came forth and as a human, I had to protect my eyes, going blind would be uncool. As I opened my eyes I found myself in the my backyard as if nothing has happened, with nothing but a hollow ache in my heart. Also, I love fiction. ;)Nice to meet you!
Hi, Keziah, Fantastic introduction, I don't think anyone has done better. Great to meet you. I'm from an island west of Europe that recently had a flotation device fitted to it to stop it from sinking completely. The flotation device is a relatively new one to us this part of the world and is has been officially called "2 weeks of no rain" (but still cold) and the island is called Ireland.
The scientists hope that the device should last for at least 2 months of continuous rain forecast in our near future. If the rain lasts any longer than that the scientists aren't sure what might happen. :)

I'm a figment of my own imagination and all my mirrors lie to me.I was not a fan of FL weather, either. So sticky & heavy it's hard to breathe.
