Bill Brauker (billbrauker) | 1 comments Hello all! I am a new Goodreads member and still trying to figure out how to set everything up, but I’m making progress and am excited about participating. I am a painter and writer and have recently published a thriller, Sea of Guilty, set in Honolulu, where I used to live.

I have been an avid reader for many years. I read mostly fiction, crime thrillers, mysteries, and main stream. I also enjoy biographies and historical books.

My reading covers the, “old guys,” Hemingway, Steinbeck, Fitzgerald, etc. (Of course I’m an old guy too, so that’s natural) to more modern authors. These are some of the authors who have brought me fun and joy over the years. John D. MacDonald, Robert Ludlum, Carl Hiaasen, Wilbur Smith, William Wharton, Elmore Leonard, Greg Iles, Daniel Silva, and Nelson DeMille, although his latest, The Panther, just didn’t work for me. I had to put it down after about 150 pages. He must have fired his editor and that was a big mistake.

I look forward to having great fun on Goodreads and continuing to find new authors to read and enjoy.
Any suggestions on good groups to join?

Bill Welcome to the group, Bill. I hope you enjoy the discussions.

I like some of the old writers as well, am just about to get into John D. MacDonald and looking forward to it. I do enjoy many of the newer writers, many female authors, some of the Scandanavians and many, many of the UK writers. Good luck with your book.

Feel free to promote it and any future efforts in our Author's Corner or the News Section.
