Michael Pang (michaelpang) | 3 comments Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instruments Series and also Infernal Devices series are excellent Paranormal series with strong female protagonists, although it's alittle more PG-13. Another good book series is the Discovery of Witches series by Deborah Harkness, maybe NC-17 with that one...

Katie (dreamangelmistaolcom) | 43 comments Afterlight (Dark Ink Chronicles, #1) by Elle Jasper The dark ink chronicles....amazing series, almost as good as The Fever Series by Karen Marie Moning . Both definitely worth reading!! Hot sexy female heroines throughout, coupled w their hot man candy of course and kicking ass all over the place.

Anung (anungv) | 4 comments I second Karen Marie Moning and would add J.R. Ward the Black Dagger Brotherhood series.

You are most welcomed....The Riley Jenson series is a favorite of mine for years...I was saddened when it finally came to an end, but was quickly delighted when a spin off from that series came to be...I've read one book of it so far, but I intend to gather up the rest for that series as well....Glad I could help you out....Let me know if I can help again.....Happy Reading....

Rachel | 192 comments Yes! Elizabeth Hunter! The Elemental Mysteries series is great. I would also recommend her second series that starts with The Scribe (Irin Chronicles, #1) by Elizabeth Hunter . She creates a really unique world and the H/h are a really sweet couple.

Or Christine Feehan Water Bound (Sea Haven/Sisters of the Heart, #1) by Christine Feehan is excellent as well.

Love this series! Don't forget to start with the prequel...it's vital. Alpha & Omega (Alpha & Omega, #0.5) by Patricia Briggs"

100% agree that the prequel is where A&O needs to start. And 95% of the time I skip a series short stories and novellas.

message 26: by Cindi (new)

Cindi (ourtrumpcard) D.A., I tend to do the same thing! Not a fan of anthologies and that used to be about the only place to get them...I find I do read them a bit more when a favorite series is over and I'm getting withdrawals.

message 27: by ~Brandy~ (last edited Jun 22, 2015 11:10AM) (new)

~Brandy~ I have really enjoyed the Kara Gillian series by Diana Rowland. Mark of the Demon is the first book in the series and 7 books have been published so far. Hope this helps!

Mark of the Demon (Kara Gillian, #1) by Diana Rowland

message 28: by Meredith (new)

Meredith | 3 comments Stephanie, you mentioned a preference for vampires as protagonists in one of your earliest posts. If you liked the Cat/Bones dynamic, you would probably enjoy an older series by Jennifer Rardin, the Jaz Parks series (first title is Once Bitten, Twice Shy). Her romantic dynamic between Jaz & Val is very similar witty dialogue, great supporting cast, and interesting plot lines. The author unfortunately is deceased but there are 8 books in the series and the last leaves a plotline open but is not a cliffhanger in a way that prevents enjoying what is available. Also, have you tried any of the Jane Yellowrock novels by Faith Hunter?

message 29: by Sophie (new)

Sophie (sophieg13) | 64 comments Try the October Daye Series that starts with Rosemary and Rue and I also think you would really like The Riley Jensen series that starts with Full Moon Rising Also there is the Anita Blake series that begins with Guilty Pleasures and just throwing this one out there because its not a UF series but its still really good is the world of Hetar series and that begins with Lara

message 33: by I.T. (new)

I.T. Lucas | 2 comments Dark Stranger The Dream, Dark Stranger Revealed, and Dark Stranger Immortal, the 3 first books of The Children Of the Gods Series, are exactly what you're looking for. (And not only because they are my books… :)
The next three (not published yet, but almost there...) will focus on a new couple, but all the main characters from the previous book will still be there.
