i agree wats the point of a making a movie abt the book if its gonna b completely different?

1. What makes for a good book often doesn't translate well into a movie and things have to be added/moved/changed for effect. If they did, novelists wouldn't bother with books, they'd just be screenwriters instead.
2. If you wanted this book to be made into a movie that changed nothing and had every scene, it would be about 24 hours long.
3. Stephenie Meyer is one of the producers. Pretty sure she's okay with the changes being made/casting choices. And if its good enough for the creator of the world, it's good enough for me.

Then I guess you won't be going to see it, and that's your prerogative. I'm still looking forward to it very much and can't wait to see how it translates to the screen.
Sidenote: There's no "if" about her involvement (see post from February 12, 2012 and she's listed as a producer.
Frankly, I couldn't care less if Melanie/Wanderer was played by an Asian, Jared by an African American and Ian by a Spaniard - all they have to do is make my favorite characters come to life and from what I've seen in the trailer, Saiorse, Max and Jake are doing that in spades.

Oh and btw is *facepalm* not *faceplant*, unless you really did fall or something. (:

But thanks for the heads up.
